*Is defended by Veta* *Is safe from Basil's harsh comments* Really though, look at WWI and WWII. Notice a pattern? History repeats itself all the time. I mean, would you honestly expect other countries than Germany to invade anymore? Sure, a twist like America being the villain would be okay, but it's not like I'm trying to write a futuristic war novel here. I'm just writing liek, a 'What if?' plotline for wars. If I honestly wanted to make 'Realistic' take on wars, I wouldn't have made it a CYOA or put in characters you guys submitted. Speaking of which, I'm still trying to figure out how to incorporate your characters. It's hard work. :\ But I promise you cameos soon!

World War 2 was not similar to World War 1. And stop with the bloody vidya game references, is that all your culture consists in? "Really though, look at WWI and WWII. Notice a pattern? History repeats itself all the time. I mean, would you honestly expect other countries than Germany to invade anymore?" Boring History Lesson Time Rai, have you ever heard of the Treaty of Versailles? No? Well, that was one of the main reasons why Germany started the Second World War. The Treaty of Versailles was signed after the Armistice, which put an end to the fighting. It was very unfair to Germany as it gave France the right to dismantle German factories in the war and use them to serve her own interests, forbade Germany to have more than a thousand men at arms and also made Germany responsible for the repayment of war damage (and that, my friend, is a lot of Deutschmarks). You'd be pretty pissed off if you were German...pissed off enough to vote for a small, aggressive man with a toothbrush moustache called Hitler Today, Germany is a member of the European Union and is most definitely not intent on starting another global conflict...having their country annihilated and then divided for several decades has made them wiser. End of the Boring History Lesson, tune in next time for Pre-World War 1 tensions and conflicts and why France failed to stop the invasion of 1940!

Every war is the same, just different clothes and weapons.

Now, now COGS, I'm not saying that every war is different as in "this war was good and this war was bad", we all know war is a terrible thing. I'm talking about the strategic and historical part here...you can't say they used the same tactics in the Crimean War (19th century) as in the Vietnam War or that they were fought for the same reasons and had the exact same events occur, eh?

Yes they can. Pincher tatics or a few other tactics I still use sucessfully in rts, fps, rpg, and rps. Like, that Spartans guy used The Funnel. We use that in L4D. Or something. And Mexico's against America!

If I am correct, they still use some tactics from WW2.

WW2 was the first time that tanks were used in a mobile warfare setting...we still use tanks nowadays so why not continue using mobile warfare? It is simply better suited to the weapons and equipment we have today.
"Yes they can. Pincher tatics or a few other tactics I still use sucessfully in rts, fps, rpg, and rps. Like, that Spartans guy used The Funnel. We use that in L4D. Or something."
Once again a complete load of drivel from Veta, we aren't talking about games but actual warfare. It's as if I began saying that human wave tactics are an excellent way of winning battles in Afghanistan just because I use them successfully in Warhammer 40 000.

Meh, a big 'Whatevah' to your history lessons. It's not like I really take this seriously, nor do I believe a World War III like this would happen. Really, I just think of it as Modern WWII, with changes. And I DO know about the treaty of Versailles. I just don't really care to come up with a completely political jumble of stuff. tl;dr plot summary of WWIII: America is being an asshole for oil. Mexico attacks, Germany joins in, teh fight is on. Too similar to WWII? Maybe. But really I don't care.

Actually, it was 100,000 troops. And there were restrictions on the Navy, also, which were mainly ignored, as bills were signed against it(permission from other countries, as well).
And finally: The war damage was actually about 5 billion euros. Jah, 5 billion 1919 euros.
But yes, it was very unfair towards Germany, however, with good reason.
