Seeing as the couple are safely inside the bar at the moment, Chuck chooses to rescue the waitress before she wanders into the ambush. The zombies following her aren't keeping pace but they will be able to reach the diner and keep her trapped if she continues that way.
"Hey! Don't go in there!" Chuck tries shouting at the waitress from afar, but she is too far ahead to respond. "Damn! Hopefully she can last until I reach her." He races down the street, bobbing and weaving through the zombies to hopefully reach her in time.
He sees her enter Momma's diner and the impending scream comes shortly after. Chuck leaps into action with a swift swing of his bat, clearing a short path to the diner's doors. Chuck bounds across the writhing corpses of the zombies and barges in, slamming the doors behind him. Inside, he sees the black haired waitress cowering over the counter as her zombified cohort comes at her with a glistening chef's knife. "Oh my god, Callie!" She cries and covers her eyes as she prepares for the end, praying for a swift death.
Chuck has other plans for her though, bashing in the zombified woman's skull with a single swing. Blood splatters on the living waitress's uniform, staining it a dark red all across the front. "You can open your eyes now." Chuck tells her gruffly, still aware of the two other zombies in the room. "Where did you come from?!" She retorts wildly, utterly surprised by his presence.
"I tried yelling at you, but you couldn't hear me so I had to follow you here." Chuck explains briefly as one of the zombies begins to move toward the counter. He quickly eliminates the threats with his assault rifle, two well placed shots downing them in the small confines of the diner. "We won't be safe here for long, come with me if you want to live." He utters with finality, offering the waitress a path to safety should she choose to accept.
"O-okay." She replies, thrown a bit off guard by Chuck's movie slight move quote.
I've always wanted to say that. She takes his hand and rises to her feet, wiping a bit of dust off her skirt before realizing something. "Wait! Before we go, I have to ask you something. I'm not sure where they are, but could you be on the lookout for my friends? They're waitresses here as well, but we were separated a few hours ago. One is blonde and the other's a redhead, you'll be able to see them easily. We never introduced ourselves either. I'm Carmen Thomas." She extends a soft hand to Chuck, awaiting a reply.
"Chuck Greene, nice to meet you. I'll help them if I see them." He shakes her hand and notes the woman's features before they leave. Her jet black hair is tied into a ponytail that trails to her right shoulder and hangs over it slightly. She has hazel eyes with long, fluttery eyelashes that are no doubt the result of a moderate application of makeup.
The sure do make these girls doll themselves up for work, Momma must be a slave driver."Okay, Chuck we'll go whenever you're ready." Carmen retorts as she brandishes a new chef knife. "Wait just a sec." In a surprising turn of events, Chuck cracks open the cash register and pockets the $150 within, garnering a frightful stare from Carmen in the process. "It's complicate, but I promise I'll explain when we reach the gas station." He assures her if only to gain her cooperation for the short trek back to safety.
"Okay...." She reluctantly replies, turning a blindeye to Chuck's misdeeds this time. After sufficiently preparing, the duo bursts out of the diner and battles their way through the thick concentration of zombies to a clear area. Chuck sustains a few scratches in the process, as does Carmen, but their overall health remains exemplary. Gazing down the street, Chuck sees the zombies are still pounding away at the bar, clawing absentmindedly at the walls to gain access to their prey.

A) Clear the entrance so Chuck can escape easily with the couple, there is quite a large number of zombies so it may be in their best interest to cut the mob down to size
B) Blaze a path and enter the bar quickly, Chuck shouldn't waste time needlessly killing a large number of zombies and putting himself at risk
C) Ignore them and return to the safe house, Chuck should escort Carmen and return the Zombrex to Katie
D) Explore more of Still Creek, Chuck still has yet to find a single bike part
Z) CYOA
If you choose A, B, or D or possibly Z, what should Chuck do with Carmen:
1) Bring her along, she isn't terribly frightened by the presence of the zombies but she doesn't seem like a very capable combatant by herself
2) Send her to the gas station, hopefully she can make it through the crowded street and reach the gas station alive
