"We can handle this. Like Bates said, there's five of us. But you can go hide in the maintenance room if you'd like," you offer, hoping she takes you up on it. "No... I'll stay here..." she says, defeated. "Alright, just stay back," you ask, getting little response other than her averting her gaze, looking for all the world like she'd just been given a death sentence. You feel you should say something, but can't think of what. Instead you turn to face the four new survivors, all of whom have now heard the approaching threat. "Hey, everybody, listen up. The thing making that noise isn't friendly, and looked to be mean as hell. But if we attack it together, we might be able to bring it down. Now, quic-" "And just why should we follow a snot-nosed punk like y- URK!!" Starts Lenny before being cut horrendously short by a sudden protrusion from his mouth. He stares cross-eyed down at it, eyes as big as dinner plates. His knees shake, before giving out entirely. The razor-sharp thing cuts up through his head, splitting it in half. His body slumps to the ground, pinning Louise under it. Louise lets out a blood-curdling scream as she hits the ground. From out of the shadows of the hallway steps the beast, it's now blood soaked tail dancing around it menacingly. It moves forward, apparently attracted to the woman's shriek. It's foreleg stamps down on her head, claw contracting with a vicious squelch. "JESUS FUCKIN-A CHRIST!" yells the Chief, bringing his gun up. He manages off two shots before the thing thing is upon him, grabbing him around the waist and lifting into the air. Before you can blink, the behemoth unhinges his jaw and shoves the elderly cop down it's throat whole. You note that George has returned to clutching his chest in a panic, clearly having another heart attack. Beside you, you hear more than see Bates make a sprint for the hall it came out of. He makes it half there, as the beast's tail whips out, slicing your school's star punter in two at the waist. His legs keep going a bit farther, making it into the hall as his upper body is left behind on the ground. You look back to the thing, utterly frozen and silent. It sniffs around, but doesn't seem to spot you. Then, the two purple furrows on the side of it's head open up, and dual red orbs sitting on brown, fleshy stalks slip out. They swivel around the room, apparently looking for something. They lock on the boiler behind you. The boiler still chugging merrily along, unaware of the monstrosity that is currently staring it down. The thing leaps and claws at in, rending the metal of the boiler with a screech, along with several pipes. Gas seeps into the room. Another swing, and sparks fly into the air. BoomYou shake your blurred vision off, vaguely aware of a searing pain in you abdomen. Looking down, you see that a red hot piece of metal decided to make you it's new home. You look to your left, stupidly looking around for your pan, which you had lost in the explosion. You come face to face with Cynthia, eyes dead and glazed over. Half of her face is bloodied and ragged, torn apart from the explosion. You look back up, and find the two red eyes jammed in your face. You strive for the strength to reach up and yank the hateful things from their stalks, but you can't seem to lift your arms. The last thing you see is one of the thing's claws coming down on your head.
GAME OVER

"Well, bro, we going to do this?" Bates asks impatiently, looking at you as one would an alien. You see Cynthia before you, pleading silently, and Bates standing to the side, arms crossed and looking like he could take on a tank. "Bu- Yo- ..." You start, unable to comprehend what you had just seen. "What? Spit it out, that thing's getting closer," Bates spouts, looking over his shoulder towards the hallway. "You... died," you whisper, the words ringing hollow in your mouth. Bates looks at you for a moment, a quizzical look on his face. "Bud, we don't have time for you to loose it. I can't really convince people all that well, so if we're going to take this thing, you've got to talk to the others." "No... Please?" Cynthia, trying one last time. You try to shake off the vision that had seemed so real, being once again forced to make the decision. That was waaaay too real. Maybe it was premonition..... Time to leave. It was just your nerves acting up; dismiss the vision as nothing and continue onward.

"We've gotta go!" You say, turning on your heel before Bates can argue. "LENNY! MOVE!!" Perhaps it's the look in your eye, or the tone in you voice, but either way, Lenny dives forward, taking Louise with him. The tail appears a split second later, just where his head had been. "LET'S GO! WE'RE GETTING OUTTA HERE!" you yell at the others, hoping they follow as you dart towards the door. You slam the door open, praying that nothing awaits you outside. Luckily, it seems the undead have decided to cluster around a small spot off to the right. Before you lies a sea of cars, all belonging to people that are now, very likely, dead. The thought chills you. Glancing back, you find that most everyone has followed you, minus George. Chief comes out last, shutting the door violently behind him, while looking guilty all the while. He carries George's shotgun. To the side of the door, you see Lenny and Bates shoving a stone bench in front of the door. From behind said door, you hear several pops, likely those of a small pistol, followed shortly by a brief strangled scream. The two drop the bench safely in the way of the door before running into the parking lot after the rest of you. They all seem indecisive, not sure of exactly what to do and as if they were all about to go running in different directions. You vaguely remember Bates owning a truck, see if he has the keys, and if so, bolt. Try your luck around the lot, maybe someone left their keys. [C]You don't have time for this, just run like hell before that thing comes after you. [D]Wait and see what the others do. [Z]CYOA

"Bates!" you call to him as he jogs up, panting. "What?" "You've got a car, right?" "Yea, it's in B lot," he pants, pointing over to the secondary lot across the road. It's about a hundred and fifty feet away and with plenty of zeds between you and it. "I'm not sure how much gas it's got though; I haven't filled it up in a while." From off and to your left, you hear Chief speak to everyone. "Hey, I've got George's shotty, can anyone here use my pistol if I give it to them? You've got several choices and likely not a lot of time... It has zeds along the way and might be low on fuel, but at least it's a sure thing for at the lease a short amount of distance. Go for Bate's truck. Search the closer lot for a car with keys in it. There aren't that many zombies around, and maybe you'll get lucky. [C]That thing could make it's way out here any second, just hoof it and pray your feet don't fail you. [Z]CYOA
Alright, and for who should get the pistol: [1]Speak up and claim it yourself. You have shot a pistol perhaps once in your life, but you trust yourself with it more than anyone else. [2]Nudge Bates with your elbow and get him to take it. You don't have any real experience, and you'd bet he'd be the most likely to be able to out of the group. [3]Quickly vouch for Cynthia, saying she can use it. You seriously doubt she can all that well, but you want her to be able to protect herself somewhat. [4]Lenny looks like he's about to call it, probably for his girl seeing as he already has a big ass Degale. Let Louise have it. [5]Insist that the Chief keep it, he's likely the most capable with firearms in the group, and a side arm for a shotty is always handy for those shots where precision is a must.

(Just a note: For non-connected (<-- Key word) decisions like that, they're tallied separately. For example: Say three peeps had voted B 2, two peeps had voted A1, and two peeps A 3. The result would have been A and 2, because A got four votes total vs B's three, and 2 got three votes vs 1's two vs 3's two. Just thought I'd clarify that now....) "Hey, I'll take it!" You call, practically snatching it from his hand. He doesn't seem to mind much, though. "Listen, son, it holds thirteen shots when it's fulled up, but you've only got seven lef' in that clip. I done used some on the way in. Here this 'uns full," The Chief says as he pulls another clip from his belt. "It's mah last one. Plenty of shells though, so just let me and Lenny handle things if it's not too many," he quickly advises. "Alright, thanks. Now, my friend over here has a car in B lot," you explain, gesturing to Bates and the other lot in turn. "We've got to get to it." "Well what the fuck are we waiting around for! Let's go!" Lenny interjects, already turning and starting towards the promised transportation. The rest of the group has little choice but to follow after the overzealous country boy. You make it a good distance without any mishaps, avoiding the main bulk of the undead with Chief and Lenny blazing the way. You and Bates guard the rear with a pistol and lead pipe respectively. The two women have gravitated towards the center of the formation, Cynthia with her knife and Louise unarmed. The Chief and Lenny have so far been able to take care of the stranglers you've had to go through; you haven't had to fire a shot. You're about fifty feet from the edge of B lot when a massive BOOM comes from back at the school. You look back to see the wall of the room you had come out of now has several cracks running though it. The group speeds up a bit without speaking, each knowing whatever it was wasn't anything good. You, on the other hand, have a decent idea just what it was. Heck, if Lenny's almost death had been so spot on as to the vision, who's to say the thing didn't attack the boiler and create an explosion? Yea, but that also means it lived through it. Just like the vision.....Finally, a few stray zeds later, your group makes it to the truck under Bates' direction unscathed. Due, in no small part, to the Chief's expert marksmanship and trailblazing; it was as if he'd done all this before. Bates whips out his keys, and pops the lock. You all pile in. "So, where the heck are we goin?" The driver asks "We don't have that much gas, so outta town's outta the question." Okay, first things first: seating. Three people can fit in the cab, and the truck bed could hold all of you if it had to. The cab offers a good deal more protection, but would be harder to shoot/attack from or get out quickly. The bed is less safe, but the people there can attack everything without hindrance, and could simply hop out if they had to abandon the truck. So, who goes where? Cab (3 slots) Truck Bed (6 slots unencumbered, 12 max) (Aka, go over 6 and the people in it won't be able to move/attack as effectively.) (OoC: I plan to have a decent transportation system. Might make choices a bit harder when you can't just toss everything and everyone into the same vehicle.) And then, where to? The Civic Center. If there is a survivor stronghold in this town, it'd be here. The Mall. Sure it's the cliche for zombie flicks, but that might just make it an appealing choice for survivors to congregate to. [C]Home. You've got to know if your parents are ok. [D]Seek out a gasoline station quickly. You won't be getting far on an empty tank. [E]As far away from here as the gas'll take ya! [Z]CYOA
(OoC: I know that one choice seems totally obvious, but be warned: Nearly any of my choices could lead to unforeseen results. It's all decided before hand, so choose carefully.)
