I am really looking forward to:
Alice: Madness Returns Saints Row: The Third Batman: Arkham City Dead Rising 2: Off The Record (how could I forget that!?) Resident Evil: Operation Raccoon City (Also forgot this one. I mainly want it for Raccoon City and the possibility of seeing the Outbreak crew. I will literally bring out my guitar and sing Landslide if they're not in it. Then maybe I'll weep).
That's it. For now. What about you?

Pfft. Who cares? Dead Rising 2 with Frank and a theme park. Win win for me.
And LOL at you bitching about Dead Rising 2: Off The Record being unoriginal then whinging about people not wanting Dead Island. That shit looks exactly like Left 4 Dead with a bit of Dead Rising mixed in. But, like, badly made.
And the dialogue! "I keeill you!" "I set choo fereee!" over and over. Ugh! Gag me with a knife.

Pfft. Who cares? Dead Rising 2 with Frank and a theme park. Win win for me. Oh, sweet Jesus. Talk about the cancer killing the industry. DR2:OTR should be DLC. Not a full game. If it were DLC I would be buying it day 1. As a full game it's just Capcom at it's usual bullshit of milking gamers for all their worth, putting minimal effort. Want proof? Look at Street Fighter 4. Don't act like a fanboy, actually think Perhaps if you paid attention to the development of Dead Island you'd see it's much less like Left 4 Dead. For example, there's a class system. If this is implemented well, it's going to offer a different experience with each character, like Borderlands. There's also more of an RPG influence with character stat trees. There's also the fact that the combat is being designed with the idea that you're going to have to pick your fights. In this, you're going to maybe be able to take on a dozen, at the most, before you start to get overwhelmed. Hardly like Dead Rising or Left 4 Dead where you take out a dozen zombies in a single swing or a shot. Are you even trying?

Oh, sweet Jesus. Talk about the cancer killing the industry. Hyperboles to the left of me! Hyperboles to the right of me! DR2:OTR should be DLC. Not a full game. Thank you, Shark! I assume your knowledge on the gaming industry stems further than your television? If it were DLC I would be buying it day 1. So, what? Is it the price or your pride that's stopping you from buying it at store? As a full game it's just Capcom at it's usual bullshit of milking gamers for all their worth, putting minimal effort. They're not forcing you to buy it. Not really. Look at Street Fighter 4. Street Fighter isn't a series I care about. I like Dead Rising, so I'll be buying Off The Record, whether I think it should be DLC or not. Don't act like a fanboy, actually think The "ur a fanboi!" statement is a pretty amusing one, but what makes this attempt-at-an-insult is the hypocritical rant about Dead Island that follows. Perhaps if you paid attention to the development of Dead Island Uh oh! It's gonna be one of those "you-have-to-have-been-there-from-the-start things to admire it's amazing undertones of passion or something. This does not bode well. you'd see it's much less like Left 4 Dead. For example, there's a class system. THIS CLASS SYSTEM CHANGES EVERYTHING. If this is implemented well, it's going to offer a different experience with each character, like Borderlands. So, you don't know how it'll be implemented, you're just hoping it's done well. There's also more of an RPG influence with character stat trees. So, basically, there's a few attempts at having each character unique ala Outbreak or the new Raccoon City thing that stops it from being akin to Left 4 Dead? There's also the fact that the combat is being designed with the idea that you're going to have to pick your fights. In this, you're going to maybe be able to take on a dozen, at the most, before you start to get overwhelmed. Uh, that sounds like virtually every other zombie game. And from the gameplay footage I've viewed, it's quite the opposite. There were never that many infected in groups, and when there were the person was able to rush in and take them all out. No stealth kills or whatever you're implying we'd have to do. Just knock them down and finish them off in a boring and repetitive manner. Hardly like Dead Rising or Left 4 Dead where you take out a dozen zombies in a single swing or a shot. There's a way to take down a dozen zombies with a single shot in Let 4 Dead? How? This would have been most helpful! Am I even trying?! Hahaha! This was cute. Well, it's not like I was expecting another well thought out discourse or civility. Heart hug!

In my opinion. Dead Island looks pretty legit, it's not breaking any standards but it looks like a game I would buy if I wasn't suffering from loss of my soul. And even though I never played Dead Rising, it always looked like a zombie playground. Off the Record looked like it should just be DLC, but in honesty if it's a new place to tear shit up, it's a full game in Dead Rising's point of view and if the developers have the balls to sell it full price, they have earned my respect. I have been following Dead Island and they're trickling information. The 4 different characters with different strengths and weaknesses looks like a fun, if not done before, game mechanic. I think what this Shark fella was tryin' to say in a really confusing way, is that the setting is a tropical island resort. There's very little if any in terms of guns, so most kills are going to be upfront and melee. The biggest thing about it for me is that it takes place at the beginning of the infection, which most games don't cover. Panic, looting, and still expecting the government to come in and save everyone. That means you might have to fight human enemies, which, if anyone of you played Metro 2033, tend to be smarter than you're generic face eating zombie. Of course, I don't know if you're going to have to fight angry gang members or looters, I'm just assumin' shit from some articles I've read. But it really didn't deserve the beating Aussie dealt it.

bu-bu-but Shark... Uranus zone! There's a poop joke in there but I can't be bothered going for it =P Also, what Gabe said. Aussie, if you can't see how this industry is taking a nose dive, you really need to wake up, and that's not a hyperbole. The video game industry is starting to see a serious decline in quality and more and more things like legislation that are just looking to screw over gamers. The bill I just mentioned, for example, completely screwing over fair use in copyright law. Online passes. DLC being developed 50-60% into development, thus it should be on the disc. I'm not going to waste any more time.

I don't know you or what this argument is about, but I love Aussie so... Gabe's a dipshit. Ask anyone here. Except me. I won't be able to back up that claim. The video game industry is starting to see a serious decline in quality Biased argument. Either side can make for this and against this easily. and more and more things like legislation that are just looking to screw over gamers. Don't see what this has to do with the industry as they aren't putting up these bills. Oh look, businesses trying to compete with the used game market because they are losing sales and thus lowing the industry's value and thus having to provide lower quality games. Yeah, fuck those assholes for trying. DLC being developed 50-60% into development, thus it should be on the disc. I assume your knowledge on the gaming industry stems further than your television?

Just stop right there, fucktard. If you can't even make a complete word, you should just get the fuck off these forums. Are you fucking kidding me? You make me lose my faith in humanity, shitfuck. Finally, a real fucking word. Finally notice that shiny spellcheck button at the bottom? You sicken me. Animals are irrelevant. What is this, kindergarten? Come back when your balls drop, kid. ... Is this kid 4realz? I'm not even going to waste my insanely valuable time telling you all the things wrong with those two words. What if you grandmother saw you type that? How adorable, trying to be funny. Well fuck you, cockshit. You've earned yourself a pat on the back and a ban for life. Enjoy!

Rai, come on, he was just trying to defend himself, put yourself in his shoes for a minute and see if your "insanely valuable time" was worth it then! Was it?! Exactly, it was not. You're just a egotistical, maniacal, superfluousness, mecha-ego-maniacial, and a horrible fan of legion to boot. You should just ban yourself for banning that poor defenseless child.
Now now, let's get back to the argument.
Shark, Dead Rising: OTR apparently has a whole new story, weapons, clothes, a new place bigger than the palisades, new bosses, and a lot more, all for 40 dollars, I can say it's rightfully priced. Yes, the video game industry is changing, for the better or worse, but remember that this has nothing to do with that in any way. We're talking about Dead Rising: OTR, not how something or the other is falling apart. let's remember that.
Aussie, Shark might have went all out on you, but instigating him, while hilarious, still wasn't right. and to continue the arguement any further would just make you both sound like kindergardeners fighting over two stuffed teddy bears that are glued together.
Let's get back to a sensible discussion, like what games we might want. or bashing rai, i like the first idea more.

Alright biatches, let's do this. I'm pumped. I'm back from my vacaton. Fling on an ADIDAS hoodie and just boogie woogie wit' me. Ooooh. Or put on yo' dancin' shoes and get loose, can you get loose, can you? Reply tyme! First up, The Gabe. You gon' git sum. In my opinion. Dead Island looks pretty legit, it's not breaking any standards but it looks like a game I would buy if I wasn't suffering from loss of my soul. Umm... And even though I never played Dead Rising, it always looked like a zombie playground. Off the Record looked like it should just be DLC, As you said, you've never played Dead Rising (1 and 2, I assume). So, how would you know whether it "should just be" DLC? but in honesty if it's a new place to tear shit up, it's a full game in Dead Rising's point of view and if the developers have the balls to sell it full price, they have earned my respect. They're not selling it at full price. There's very little if any in terms of guns, so most kills are going to be upfront and melee. Understandable. However, I do think from the gameplay footage I've seen that it would get repetitive and tedious quite quickly. Uh, that has been done before. *points at banner* Dead Rising was based around the beginnings of the infection. You dealt with people's minds snapping, looting, dangerous survivors and all that jazz. The sequel also had cultists, however the survivors seemed to be used to the zombies. Of course, I don't know if you're going to have to fight angry gang members or looters, I'm just assumin' shit from some articles I've read. You know what they say when you assume. It makes an ass out of u and me. But it really didn't deserve the beating Aussie dealt it. Pfft. That wasn't a beating. The Shark! The pinky action is what makes it so unique! Aussie, if you can't see how this industry is taking a nose dive, you really need to wake up, and that's not a hyperbole. WHOA OH OH AW AW AW YEAH YEAH, NO NO NO NO NAH HELL TO THE NO NO NO NO. I never said the video game industry was anything on the contrary. I do, however, believe that Dead Rising 2: Off The Record being released as a full game not being the end all is what I'm debating. As Izaya said, it's not Chuck being re-skinned to look like Frank and a half assed attempt at a new park being implemented and released full price. From the information released, we'll be getting new areas, re-designs of existing areas, new bosses, new survivors, new storylines, new clothes, new weapons, new whatever. And all for the price of $40 (U.S). I'd consider that a pretty good deal. Of course, if that turns out to be bullshit and Capcom lied all along and you were right, then I shall eat crow and once again the gaming industry will have gone down, a belief we both agree on. The video game industry is starting to see a serious decline in quality and more and more things like legislation that are just looking to screw over gamers. Agreed. The bill I just mentioned, for example, completely screwing over fair use in copyright law. Agreed. I don't get this, so I'll pretend it's about exclusive console content and pre-ordering bonuses and just say agreed. DLC being developed 50-60% into development, thus it should be on the disc. Agreed. Somewhat. It depends. I do have a problem with content originally included in the game only to be cut out last minute for DLC. ASee: Sims series. I'm not going to waste any more time. On what? Gaming or this conversation in which you've automatically assumed I'm defending gaming companies? Regardless, I do not see how Off The Record factors into your list. It isn't DLC. More of a spin off or whatever the gaming equivalent of the term is. Alice Calis Tree Laurasia, I don't think you're ready for all this jelly. I love you too! ^_^ And I agree with a lot of what you're saying. Izaya, dirty bit. Yeah, I've slept with you. THANK. YOU. That's why you get the picture of Rosario, my future wife. Aussie, Shark might have went all out on you, but instigating him, while hilarious, still wasn't right. Hey! I had a right to defend myself from a possible rape, lib. I merely voiced my opinion. You reply with respect and courtesy, you get it back with a hug and a voucher from carpet shampooing. You reply with pictures of people rolling their eyes or whatever, you get a similar response. and to continue the arguement any further would just make you both sound like kindergardeners fighting over two stuffed teddy bears that are glued together. Little shit at my kindergarten once stole my prized teddy bear for the centre piece at their fort. They had it comin'. But you do have a point. I stick by my opinion on Off The Record being priced correctly according to what I assume we're to get. It doesn't need to be DLC. In fact, I see no difference between DLC and a store release other than it being a physical copy. From the rumored content, it would still be priced around the same.

You won, just with that picture. And yeah, I know my lack of knowledge of Dead Rising led to gigantic holes in my argument. I just thought Shark was going at the argument for it in the wrong way which is why I stepped up for Dead Island. It really caught my attention with the supah dupah serious and ballzy announcement trailer 'How could you not love that face?' But they've been trickling information and boosting their ad campaign in North America, which is a recipe for disaster as they inch towards launch day. All the advertisements with little info is going to be a turn off for gamers. But taking from all the things I do know, it's worth a chance in my opinion. So stop unleashing hell Aussie!

No I shall not!
Look at that picture of the girl! Look at the rest of the trailer! It was dark, depressing, realistic (for a zombie game, in the fact that, yes, children aren't looked over by flesh eating monsters). But from the leaked information they're not going for any of that. That's what disappointed me.
