Character Name: Antheia Lothian
Age: 19
Gender: Female
Birthplace: Salem, Massachusetts
Race (Human, Vampire, etc.): Human, Fae blood
Physical Appearance (Photo or description):
Above full body pic is an example of her ritual garb.
Above examples of every day clothing.
Good, Evil, or Neutral: Neutral Good
Strengths: Generally warm and kind, knowledgeable in many areas of magic or supernatural goings on, and usually has some sort of solution to a problem.
Weaknesses: While a powerful magic user in her own right, she is by no means the most knowledgeable and there are even things she does not know how to handle. While generally unaffected by her half-breed status, it can be made into a bone of contention if the button is continually pressed.
Weapon Of Choice (Within reason): Magic, Pistol.
Abilities (A short summary of your character's supernatural talents, if applicable):
Antheia is a...well I guess when you get down to it, she's what you'd call a sorceress/mage. She can conjure fire and ice to hurt, or for practical use, or she can summon vines to bind someone or grasp an object. She can perform rituals for far more powerful magic, but there are spells that even she has not tried. Charms to ward magic or beings more powerful than herself may render her magic ineffective/may not be affected by it easily. She is one of the more powerful magic users in town, but is by no means the strongest.
Her fae blood makes Antheia naturally attuned to the elements, as well as the magical energy around her. Any supernatural being worth their stuff can probably recognize the blood in her.
Personality:
She has both an infectious smile, and a quiet air that often keeps others at a distance. Indeed, it is often said that there is nothing quite as unnerving as seeing Antheia stare at you placidly without saying a word. Antheia is an enjoyable person once her initial shell is broken. Both her appearance and initial personality with those she doesn't know often leads them to believe she is a quiet, cold person. But this is merely her own way of being defensive until she decides for herself that the person in question is not harmful or ill intentioned.
Antheia has a surprising love of dancing, gardening, and she likes cute things as much as the next girl. But her attire and mannerisms sometimes fail to match this, which is why anyone who finds out is rather surprised.
History:
Her family history can be traced back to Scotland far, far in the past. Appropriate, considering the fae blood in her veins. Antheia became aware of the difference between her and others relatively quickly, but did not find her aptitude for magic until she was fourteen years old. Things progressed naturally for her from there; she took up gardening herbs, amassed a collection of texts both theoretical and wildly rare on the subject of magic, rituals and various balms and elixirs.
Antheia spent much of her later teenage years working at a local coffee shop, a sort of hole in the wall that had a loyal customer base, but was a sort of hidden hideaway that often wasn't discovered unless by word of mouth. She continued to do so after graduating, living in a somewhat imposing looking old house in town, rented rather cheaply because of its age. She started a bit of a side business, also quite word of mouth, and became known as the person to go to for natural remedies by the general public, and the person to go to for magical means in whispered circles that keep their secrecy well.
Her position in the town in non-magical form is a simple coffee shop worker and natural holistic remedy maker, but in magical circles, she is somewhat well known, both negatively and positively. Most negativity toward her tends to stem from pure blooded supernaturals who take issue with human and supernatural blood mixing, while others may not like her because of her closed-book personality until she better knows them. But still others see her as a petulant child who has gotten lucky thus far, a mere waif dealing with forces she has no idea how to control. Yet even those who dislike her may recommend her to clients, as she would do for them. Magical circles always keep an unspoken rule to fight battles and seethe in the shadows, never revealing anything to normal humans.[/spoiler]
