For those of you who don't know what the BSAA is, it stands for Bio-terrorism Security Assessment Alliance. I'm just going to quote the wiki for a more in depth description:
Note: We won't have Umbrella, obviously. So ignore the stuff about that. Also, the stuff that's crossed through is irrelevant to the RPG. most of this is subject to change, so take it with a grain of salt.
"The Bioterrorism Security Assessment Alliance, or BSAA for short, is an organization formed in 2003 by the U.S. Government along with the United Nations Security Council and the Global Pharmaceutical Consortium to combat bio hazardous threats around the world that are well above normal dangers. This comes in large part to the B.O.W.s and viral weaponry that had been developed by the former Umbrella Corporation being sold on the black market to the highest bidder. It has advanced technology and a wide variety of skilled personnel assigned to their duties. It also has a network of Branches across the world, ready to deploy on the first sign of a biohazard. The BSAA Is made up of small parts from the nations military. They are trained to find a weakness and go for a quick kill as the B.O.W.s are not like a normal human.
They have eight branches, but obviously we'll only really just use the North American Branch. But for future reference, I might as well list them all here:
-Europe Branch-
-North American Branch-
-South America Branch-
-East Africa Branch-
-West Africa Branch-
-Middle East Branch-
-Far East Branch-
-Oceania Branch-

I know what you're thinking: Why would they have a Bio-terrorism branch prior to the outbreak? Well think about it, if they're building fucking ZOMBIE COWS, they'd probably make a branch of the military trained to deal with bio-shit like that. Hence why they're sent in to assess the zombies.
I'd kinda think of them as a smaller, more task based version of the SF. They arn't interested in killing survivors... Yet. Plus, having them in could give me a good reason to introduce Derek in early in the RPG!
(Oh yeah, they go batshit crazy at clean-up too. Just less involved than the SF in regards to actual kill counts)
Tasks would include profiling the survivors, estimating the zombie count, and somewhat trying to locate key points in the mall for troops to sweep up first. Somewhat sabotaging Survivors communications as well, as they don't want word spreading of the zombies. They're sorta the reconnesience unit for the military, if you will. They've been trained to extract some samples of the zombies too, and try to figure out how they spread so fast and why. They do sometimes fight psychos, but rarely. By the way, they're only be about five of these guys in the mall total. Maybe only three, actually.

^Standard BSAA Agent
Their starting equipment would usually be light weapons, such as silenced pistols or MAYBE an SMG. So be prepared to improvise if you'd want to be a BSAA troop. No "LOLOL AND SNAKE PULLED OUT A GIANT MHHM SIXKSTEEN AND KILLED ALL TEH ZOMBEIS LOL" allowed.
Of course, this is a Yay/ Nay thread. If you say nay, say why you don't like them and what you'd change, or if you just don't want them in at all. If you say Yay, then whoopee for you, dawg. You're cool.
