Name of Faction:
The Kingdom of Tasmania
Aims and Ideological Affiliation:
The King of Tasmania's aims are simple. With the confusion and panic of WWIII, Tasmania plans to annex the rest of the country as well as New Zealand. Tasmania don't really have an ideological faction, though they are allies with Russia. And possibly the allied nations.
Current Leader:
Still thinking of a name.
Location/Territory:
The state of Tasmania. A small island covered in forests and mountain regions.
History:
Australia will be portrayed differently then how it is in real life and how you all picture it- actually, it’ll probably remain pretty close to how foreign media portrays us. To understand its depiction in the RPG, you’ll have to forget most of what you know of the country’s history, which will be easy as I can safely say that no one here, myself and my fellow Australian users, has that firm of a grasp on our detailed history. Well, besides being descendants of convicts, which won’t affect the story in any way. It’ll mainly be more recent history that will be modified.
The history of Australia is this:
In the fifties, opinions on the current Prime Minister were splitting the country, with most against how Australia was being led. The differences between the states and territories were causing large riffs in the relationships between parliament and by the early sixties the Parliamentary constitutional monarchy had failed, with each state electing their own individual monarchy, involving royal titles. This led to Australia severing any power England had over their control of the country.
The states basically became separate countries, surviving on their own. Tasmania went by unnoticed until the election of its current king, who for the past several years shaped Tasmania into becoming the wealthiest state through its mining industry. This led to a population boom and growing support for the king, who took advantage of this to try and have control of the entire country.
Current International, Military and e\Economic Status:
Surprisingly wealthy with a growing military and industrial sector, mainly in mining and weapon manufacturing. As well as agriculture and medicine. However, it is basically on its own from the rest of the world besides Russia, and their relationship is built more on support than supplying weapons, supplies and troops to each other.
