Character Name: François Toussaint
Age: 29
Gender: Male
Birthplace: Okap, Haiti
Physical Appearance (Photo or description): img21.imageshack.us/img21/3887/fidelospics001s.jpg
François is clad in a black T-shirt with the hammer and sickle symbol printed on it, a pair of grey jeans, a black flight jacket, and is also wearing a wristwatch. His body shape is rather mascular and "broad"-like --so to speak--, however, not Terry Crews-buff.
Good or Evil (Pick one from the following: Lawful, Neutral, or Chaotic. Then pick one of the following: Good, Neutral, or Evil.): Neutral "Lawful", I suppose.
Strengths:
Weapon Of Choice (Within reason): A Makarov pistol
Personality: Despite seeming to be over-reactionary, stubborn, sarcastic, and very bitter, François can be described as a fair, strong-willed man whom merely wants to survive. He is not the type of person who would kill another over scarce provisions, nor leave the comfort and safety of whatever place he finds himself barricaded in to "fight the bad guys". François just wants to survive this disaster and escape the city. Nevermind his limited English, he is charismic in some situations, and can a great leader if the opportunity appears.
History: François Toussaint was born in Cap-Haitien (Okap), Haiti, of mixed German-Jewish, French, and Ivorian ancestry. As an adolescent, he gained an interest in politics, and began studying the works of Jacques Roumain, V.I. Lenin, Gracchus Babeuf, de Saint-Simon, as well as other well-known political and economic theorists and philosophers. His love of politics and economics later drove him to join the Progressive Labor Party --a transnational Communist party based in the United States-- at the age of nineteen. Upon joining, he began to participate in demonstrations and protests against the low-paying sweatshops of Haiti and the ungodly corrupt PNd'H (the Haitian National Police). He also spoke out against the American/Western Capitalist influence in Haiti, which strongly controlled the government as a sort of dominion.
Due to his political expressions and outward defiance of Haiti's "oppressed and unreasonable democracy" (as he had called it), François had found himself on the floor with the shit beaten out of him by several PNd'H officers more than a few times. Instead of "learning his lesson" --so to speak-- from these harsh disciplinary acts, François was only inspired to rebel further, and to such an extent that he even participated in a violent Port-au-Prince riot shortly after the U.S.-backed National Revolutionary Front for the Liberation of Haïti forcefully deported Socialist Lavalas and then-president Jean-Bertrand Aristide in 2004.
In 2010, François planned to travel to a few cities in the United States so he could research in-the-flesh about the would-be social, economic, and political inequality in the United States for a book he was planning to publish. His first destination: Fortune City.
Location At Time Of Outbreak: Aimlessly roaming the streets of Fortune City
Age: 29
Gender: Male

Strengths:
- He is physically stronger than the average bloke, and subsequently performs remarkably in melee combat.
- Skilled with some small arms (mostly the heavier sort; like rifles).
- Can be stealthy if the time is deemed essential.
- François can speak Creole and Russian fluently, and is currently studying English
Weaknesses: - He can only speak broken English, and he cannot understand American slang. For example--
Survivor: What's up, François?
François: Eh... sky the? - To make his linguistic problem worse, he often utilises Creole grammar instead of English grammar while speaking English, and --due to learning Russian-- he has developed a bit of a Slavic accent.
- He performs poorly with lighter weapons; particularly handguns and sub-machine guns.
- François will refuse to eat anything he considers "greasy Kentucky shit"; he'd literally much rather starve to death.
- He has volatile anger issues: Seriously, François may sometimes flip the fuck out for the most insignificant of reasons.
