John gazes longingly through his window to the mountains in the distance. His mind in another place, he fails to notice the initial knock on his door. "John, are you there?" A familiar voice asks followed by a more persistent pounding. "Just a sec, I'm coming." John snaps back to reality, forcing himself to stop mourning his mother's death the previous week. He had been one of the pallbearers at the funeral. This last week has been extremely taxing on him, but he has begun to move on for the most part. "Oh, hey Cynthia. Sorry it took a little while, I was just brooding." He tells her in a melancholy tone. "Well, I'm here to take your mind off of that. Isabela's finally back in town and she wants us to meet her tonight." Cynthia tells John excitedly, tugging at his hand without even having a seat. "Really? That's great, did she say what time?" Cynthia presses a finger thoughtfully to her lip before replying, "She said she'd be home by seven and for us to come by around eight. But that means we have rest of the day to plan a surprise for her." Cynthia giddily persuades John to accompany her while she shops, he doesn't have anything better to do today. This can help me take my mind off my mom........ Before they leave, John takes a moment to ponder his relationship with Cynthia....... Character: John Dillon Health: 100% Entourage: Cynthia Velasquez: 100% Inventory: Nothing Current Time: 3:30 pm Date: October 16, 2010 First choice: Who is Cynthia to John? A) Merely a friend, they've known each other for a few years now, introduced through Cynthia's cousin, Isabela, but they've never really socialized until lately. B) A close friend, Cynthia and John have known each other for many years and have been through trying ordeals together. They may possess feelings for one another, but that remains to be seen. C) His girlfriend, they began dating three months ago and they have been the best three months of John's life. He has even been contemplating asking her to move in with him, but it may be a little soon for that. Second choice: Who is Isabela to John? D) They were once close friends, but Isabela traveled to Europe a year ago and they've grown distant in their time apart. E) Still close friends, John and Isabela grew up in the same town and have remained in touch while Isabela has been away. John has been unsure of his feelings for her for some time now so this might be his chance to confirm them once they meet up tonight. F) John and Isabela have been in a relationship for two years now. They remained together while she traveled to attend school in Europe and John has stayed faithful, just as he believes Isabela has. He can't wait to see her again after a year of being apart. Here's a map of the town the story will be taking place in: www.telluridestyle.com/maps/TellurideTownMap.jpgI know you might be saying WTH to shopping, but this won't last for long before the outbreak. I just need to create character relations before anything so the story can have something to drive it.

The second set of characters will be coming into play soon so I'll be needing to straighten out a few things. For their appearance, all the character requests I've received so far will be members of the Army and in the same squad, exactly what position each of them are has yet to be decided.
They will be responding to the outbreak and I need to know exactly what you'd like to see them encounter upon arriving:
1) Normal zombies, nothing new here, just the average hobbling horde of undead
2) Enhanced zombies, similar to the gas zombies of DR 2, they will pose a much greater threat as they are scattered throughout the shambling horde of weaker undead
3) A menagerie of threats, I'll sprinkle in a few of my own creations as well as staples from Resident Evil and other Biohazard-esque games.
As well as this choice, I need to know who they'll be discovering eventually:
4) Their objective, a source who may have information pertaining to the origins of the outbreak
5) A group of survivors taking shelter in the elementary school
6) A surprise, this will be a total mystery until it is time, upon which it will be revealed and all the character's fates will be decided.
I know this is a messy and undetailed request, but I have to cobble this together before I go to work and this information is necessary.

Seeing that I have a tie on both of the current choices, I'm going to go ahead and post a few side stories that will introduce some of the other characters as I wait for a tiebreaker. Deborah logs in the final denomination of her supervisor's earnings, promptly shutting down the computer afterward to begin her hard earned month of vacation. Phew, glad that's over with. Berringer's constant breathing down my neck was starting to get to me. Now I can relax and take in the sights for the next week before I catch my plane out of here.Deborah Lorena is the personal accountant to Lee Berringer, the CEO of the multi-billion dollar corporation Parasol. He sent her to the sleepy town of Telluride nestled high in the mountains of Colorado to conduct her business in peace, as well as to avoid attracting attention to some of his more illicit activities. He allowed her the use of a private company home in the town as well as a high end sports car to appease her need to travel to such an isolated location. Unfortunately for Deborah, she knows nary a soul in the town so there has been a lack of social interaction on her part for the past four days she has been in town. She completed her report much earlier than anticipated and her plane isn't scheduled to land for another week, so she'll have to find some way to occupy her time. "Maybe I'll head down to one of the bars I saw on the local map. Places like this usually have more than their share of fit morsels." She muses aloud while sipping her coffee in the comfort of the company house. She has to admit, the living conditions are luxurious even compared to what she is used to with her high end salary. The house itself is situated on the outskirts of town on a hill that overlooks the vast mountain terrain and surrounding forests. The view is astounding as it offers a clear line of sight all the way to a lake twenty miles in the distance. The decor of the house is an ultra modern look with architecture befitting of a dwelling owned by a multi-billion dollar business. It puts Deborah's apartment back in New York City to shame, she grudgingly admitted to herself upon arriving at the house. "If I'm going to out tonight, I'll need something to wear. To go with the new locale, I think it's time for some new clothes. I'll head down to that quaint little boutique I saw on Main Street. They're bound to have something suitable." Deborah ponders the coming night's activities to herself as the sun peaks from behind a passing cloud to illuminate the view on the balcony, leading her to believe this will be a good day indeed. Also, here are a few pictures of Deborah for those of you who are curious: Front view: i.i.com.com/cnwk.1d/i/tim//2010/06/02/debrahlee_lorenzana_(5)_1.jpgSide view: beta.images.theglobeandmail.com/archive/00691/debrahlee_lorenzana_691423a.jpgThat's all for now, I'll post the rest of the stories tomorrow after I get off work.

Time for the next installment in character introductions:
"Okay, thank you very much." Rebecca hastily exits the convenience store after acquiring the information she needs to continue her investigation. "So she's already been here for four days, hopefully she'll stick around long enough for me to find her and get all the answers I need." She thinks aloud as she slides into the driver seat of her red Camaro. She immediately jots down the address the clerk gave her, tucking the paper into her shirt so she won't lose it. Her house is on Red Cliff off West Galena, of course it's on the other side of town. Good thing this place isn't very large, I shouldn't have much trouble tracking her down.
Rebecca has learned from her source in Parasol Pharmaceuticals that the personal accountant to Lee Berringer himself has come to Telluride for a confidential reason. When she first caught wind of this opportunity, she didn't hesitate to book the next plane into the sleepy little town and finally attain the information she'd need to expose Parasol for the malevolent entity that it truly is.
As she snacks on a bag of chips she just purchased, Rebecca reflects back on how she became entangled in the story of the century. It all started nine months ago in the Middle East during what was to be a routine piece on the weapons manufacturer, Halbech. Rebecca had been hired personally by the head of the company's PR department to conduct the story, they'd told her she had a face that they would be delighted to have represent Halbech. Of course she'd accepted without delay, she had believed it to finally be a chance for the world to know the name Rebecca Chang.
She sat by and observed weapons tests, charity work in various third world countries as well as participated in a USO show for US troops that were stationed at a military base on one occasion. During the course of this assignment, supposedly a nuclear reactor in the village of Santa Cabeza exploded and killed all the village's inhabitants, she had even planned to do a piece on it before she discovered the truth.
After throughly investigating the incident and seeing the ground zero for herself with the help of her contacts, she was dismayed to learn that it was actually Halbech who'd staged a test for a new biological weapon that would purportedly change the very landscape of modern battle. The weapon infected the villagers with a virus that ravaged their bodies and resurrected them in the form of ravenous zombies. Upon learning the truth, Rebecca promptly withdrew from the tour of duty and went into hiding. What warranted such an extreme reaction was the discovery that her contacts who escorted her to Santa Cabeza were murdered not even 24 hours after returning.
Rebecca then worked inconspicuously to acquire evidence that eventually linked Halbech to Parasol, a connection she was completely oblivious to. This turn of events was what finally persuaded her to come out of hiding and aggressively pursue any leads to expose the two malicious corporations.
Rebecca finally stops brooding on the past though and focuses on the future, which she hopes will finally bring about the revelation of the truth.
