History: Sara grew up to a nice family. Not all the money in the world, but when she wanted something, her father always got the money to get it for her. When she was a young girl, her mom was constantly concerned about her safety and forced her to take self defense classes so she would always be able to protect herself.
Sara joined the scouts at 11, which she volunteered for after someone in her class was bragging about badges. During a trip out in the woods, the scout leader had gotten lost and Sara tracked a way back to the camp, traits she had learned from studying to impress her scout leader.
Sara got a interest in Bows and Arrows after watching them. She didn't know why, but she wanted to learn about them. Learn to use them. Her father wasn't too keen on her doing this, but she wanted it so she got it. From then on Sara became somewhat attached to archery. It was a calming experience for her.
Growing up she found herself surrounded by people constantly. People generally liked her, whether it be her looks or personality, she was liked by many.
One particularly odd day of highschool she ran into a boy named Sam. He had walked out of the bathroom, soaked in water from his head to chest, knocking her down. He quickly helped her up and apologized. She stared at him for a second, he was absolutely drenched and he cared more about how she was than getting a change of clothes. She said she was fine and asked if he was okay.
They introduced themselves and realized they had a couple of classes in common. They walked to class before departing. As time passed, they started to talk more, in and out of school. He was a lot different than most, and a good friend to her. She generally enjoyed his company and how he acted, a refreshing change from the snooty friends she usually had. She knew he had stress issues, so she made sure he didn't get bullied, and with her popularity she was able to make it die down.
As prom neared, Sam did something unexpected. They were walking from school and he decided to ask her out to the prom. Sara was confused, she never saw him as liking her. She felt she couldn't say no, she said she'd think about it. Sam smiled and they continued on, keeping talking at a minimum. Prom was nearing and she had yet to find anyone that didn't want to make her tear her hair out. Sam walked up to her in the cafeteria and asked her again, she felt like a spotlight was shining on her as everyone nearby turned their head. She gave in and said yes. Sam got extremely excited.
Prom came, Sam had put money toward her dress, borrowed a car from his father and drove her to the prom. Both were quiet on the ride there and the way in. Most of the night she was either sitting next to Sam, drinking the punch, or attempting to talk to friends. Finally Sam asked her if she wanted to dance, she took his hand as one of the final songs of the night started to play. It was a slow song, and she knew how to dance well, Sam tried his best to.
After prom they drifted apart. Sara was kicked out of her parent's house after an argument regarding not wanting to go to college and after her mother had gotten pregnant again. She didn't have as much money anymore, but her father still gave her money. She rented a small apartment and made the best of what she had.
The boredom of life in a apartment with only cable and clothes made her seek less savory actions. She would flirt with guys often, among other things.
Sam and her had spent a little more time together, mostly at the park. Sam usually volunteered at the park, so he he liked going there and keeping it clean. He said it was peaceful. One day Sara and him were talking when suddenly he stood up, got on one knee, and asked her to be his girlfriend.
Sara laughed with a half smile, she couldn't think of what to say. She knew Sam was a good guy, but she couldn't break his heart. Sara swallowed the no she wanted to say and instead spit out an okay. Sam got up and hugged her, while she was sitting on the bench thinking about what she was doing. Sam went on to say he'd buy her anything she wanted, had a house lined up for them to live in, would give her everything in the world.
She moved in with him, still unsure if that yes was a good or bad decision. Sam tried to make advances on her sometimes, the most she could do was give him as kiss. He was a friend, that's all she could imagine him as. But she kept up the illusion of being more, hugs, giving him dumb sounding cutesy names.
But that didn't stop her from her hobby, in fact, she did it more. Sam had suspicions, sometimes she thought he'd knew, sometimes she'd try to make it blatantly obvious to him. Hoping he'd see nothing in her. But after awhile she just accepted this as her life. She liked Sam, but couldn't imagine him as her husband, much less anything else other than a friend.
It was Sara's birthday and she was relaxing in her bed one night. Sam ran into the room, went to his bed, pulled out a couple of papers and gave them to her. He said that they were visiting nice little place called Fog Glen, or at least the cabin there. Sara couldn't refuse, so she put on her best smile and gave Sam a hug, thanking him.
Location At Time Of Outbreak: rented cabin in woods, has moved away from since.
