Character Name: Jaden Heartner
Age: 27
Gender: Male
Birthplace:Somewhere in Nevada Cambridge, England, United Kingdom
Physical Appearance:
Face pic:
Yes, he wears a headset. No, he never takes the bandana or sunglasses off. Yes, that is the Anime hairstyle from Saints Row the Third with an iridescent purple color to it. And no, he doesn't look like your average photojournalist.
Also he might have your mom's name tattooed on one of his asscheeks
Clothes:
Just without the brown vest.
Wears an adorable Hello Kitty backpack filled with some of his favorite 'toys': a push broom he pried from a dead janitor's hands, a baseball bat he took from a zombified baseball player who tried to beat him to death with it, a golf club which he got in much the same manner, a machete he killed a 'Nam Vet to get, and probably a handgun and a few knives thrown in for good measure.
Good, Evil, or Neutral: Good
Strengths: Wields a baseball bat in a manner normally reserved for baseball players and uses a camera in a manner normally reserved for Frank West. Decent enough at hand to hand combat when not fighting trained assholes. Can use firearms fairly decently as well. Is fairly creative as well, being able to create weapons out of mundane things, such as push brooms and machetes or boat paddles and chainsaws. Sometimes even pitchforks and shotguns.
To summarize, a weapon specialist/photojournalist who enjoys swinging stuff at random things or putting bullets in chickens like in Resident Evil 4.or would it be easier if I said Frank West clone?
Weaknesses: His skills in hand to hand are street-level at best (sometimes with a wrestling move/face crusher thrown in here and there), and as such he won't be fist fighting other people (or zombies) much. Also untrained in the use of firearms for the most part. He can shoot and hit targets well enough, but sometimes screws up reloading or jams them regularly.
He can also become sidetracked trying to take a picture at times, not even noticing the zombie sneaking up behind him.
Weapon Of Choice: More or less anything he can get his hands on. He's not exactly picky.
Personality: A decent enough guy when approached sensibly enough. Never really tries to start fights with people unless he thinks they deserve it, but for the most part he prefers diplomatic solutions as opposed to violence. As a photojournalist, he's nosy by nature, particularly about anything pertaining to the current zombie outbreak, but also about matters other people find personal, which annoys them to no end. He snaps pictures of people at random, which has earned him mixed reactions: either the other person not caring, or slapping him if said person is in a state of undress/in the shower/whatever.
As a whole he remains fairly detached from people though, preferring instead to wait and observe. And snap pictures. Unlike most people, he doesn't see the zombies as a real threat, but a mystery to be solved and published in a public newspaper somewhere.
History: Born to an ordinary English family in Cambridge, he grew up as any normal person might, going through school and enrolling in a local university in the next town over, deciding to take journalism as a trade. He found he was rather good at finding out the secrets people didn't want others to know, and decided to see if his talented nosyness would take him through life. Thus he became a member of the press, but for the most part he was freelance.
Eventually he was sent to America to observe how small town life worked there or something. Ditching his family, tea, and delicious Indian food (well okay, not those last two), he hopped on the next plane. Shortly after arriving in Fog Glen and taking a few pictures, a zombie outbreak began. Determined not to let these things ruin his job, however, he decided to wander the town a little, continuing his 'mission' of sorts.
Besides, if he uncovered what was behind the outbreak, he'd be set for life. But more than likely he was also doomed to work part-time at Jude's pawn shop forever.
