Decay takes place right at the initial outbreak in the quaint, mid-western town of Fog Glen, with an estimated population of less than 100,000. True to its name, the town is constantly in a perpetual state of constant thick fog, completely obscuring even larger buildings that are but a few feet away in some cases. Under the executive order of the President of the United States, John Kougan, martial law is declared throughout the whole of the country as the various American military branches begin moving as many citizens as they possibly can into the largest urbanized cities the United States has to offer, adopting a policy of 'He who defends everything, defends nothing'. At the same time, however, they are unable to defend those closest to the initial outbreak. These areas -- appropriately named 'Dead Zones' -- are contained by the National Guard, the first line of defense against those infected with the strange disease while the Army and Marine Corps prepare themselves for the heavy fighting that is inevitably approaching their doorstep. One such town by the name of Fog Glen is entirely ignored. With a population smaller than 100,000, and situated very close to what is assumed to be Ground Zero of the pandemic it is regarded as a "Dead Town" by the American government and thus completely beyond salvation. Despite this, a group of survivors attempts to find safety and ultimately defeat those massive odds stacked against them. They have realized that, only by banding together and working as a team, can they possibly hope to survive. No help is coming. No reinforcements. No army riding in on tanks and helicopters to extract everyone to safety. God Himself is even conspicuously absent. Hope......is almost entirely lost.

New ad:
- Based off the hit Capcom game Dead Rising.
Face claims are completely optional. If you want one, you have every right to do so. If you don't, we won't force you. Use drawings of your character(s) if you want! - 7+ years alive and still running(Not from a horde. No one wants to be running from a horde.)
- New RPers and veterans encouraged! We are willing to post with anyone! This is all for fun, after all!
- 2 paragraph minimum.
- Ever evolving story! We are using the story of Dead Rising 1, but we plan fo change and evolve to fit more interesting characteds and plot points!
WELCOME TO THE WILLAMETTE PARKVIEW MALL! Boring mall music, ugly white walls, and generic off-brand stores. All this packed into a town with a population of 53, 594 people in Willamette, Colorado. Does this sound like a fun vacation spot? No? Well, fair point. How about we throw in an equally large population of zombies? Not enough? How about an everyman photojournalist who has covered wars, ya know? Yes? Well, then come on down! We are a zombie RP site that has been around since 2008. That's 7 years. We have had our ups and downs, but in the end our veteran members enjoy writing a fantastic RP. It's almost encoded in our DNA at this point. And, because of that, we've decided to redo the original plot of the game our site is based on: Dead Rising! We need new members and new RPers. We are a very laid back group of people who are more than willing to help out even the newest of newbie to begin RPing. It's all in good fun, just like the game the RP is based around. Give us a chance. You won't regret it.
