I really doubt F would be a good idea. Even if YOU manage to win the fight, it'd likely make for a very useless MC afterwards. Plus there's no guarantee that you'd be able to save her even with the parasite's power. Hint hint.
I vote C. (Because for some reason I can't help but think she's screwed no matter what choice wins.)

"Frank, catch Cindy when I cut her free. I'll distract this thing so you can get her back to the other safely." You warn Frank so he can prepare himself, you do not know if you'll be walking away from this. You look at Cindy to reinforce your determination, you will save her no matter what. It's been a good run, I don't have any regrets. You call upon the parasite once more, though it is much more sudden than any time before. Your muscles brim with power and your legs tingle with strength, you still don't believe it will be enough to defeat this fiercesome adversary. Throwing caution to the wind, you thrust your entire body headlong at the creature. You take it by suprise, much to your own astonishment. Upon crashing into it, you grab its flailing tentacle and toss the sheath off your katana. With a flick of the wrist, you slice clean through the thin tendril, Cindy plummeting toward the Earth after being cut free. "I got her!" Frank shouts as he braces himself for impact. He catches the waitress as gently as he can, fulfilling your wish. "Take her and run! Don't look back." You tell Frank, who gravely nods then sets off for the Entrance Plaza. "So, you feel attachment for these peons. I did at one time as well." The creature says in a deep voice that rattles your ears. "You can TALK?!" You can't help but gasp as you stand in the shadow of this looming giant. "Yes, I can do a great many things that you are unaware of. Behold!" He spreads his arms as dozens of tendrils shoot out from his torso, constricting you at every conceivable joint until you have no hope of escape. "Wh-what the hell are you? And what did you mean you did as well?" You ask defiantly, attempting in vain to free your right hand so that you can cut yourself loose. "I stated that because we have something in common, my friend. I think you know what that is." He smiles sinisterly as understanding creeps its way into your mind. The parasite?!"Yes, the parasite." He echoes your thought. "D-did you just read my mind?" You stutter in awe, completely dumbfounded by this revelation. "Yes, we share a link due to the extra inhabitant within our bodies. We can communicate with but a thought. See? His mind intrudes upon yours, it is a foreign presence that you don't enjoy within your head. "This is....I don't even know how to describe it." You speak aloud due to the discomfort of conversing mentally with this inhuman being. "You would do best to embrace it, this is what you will eventually become. The process is much less painful if you do so now. Believe me." He releases you from your tentacle prison after giving you this bit of advice, it would seem he has fulfilled his mission. I'll be keeping an eye on you, my friend. There is more at stake here than you realize. With that thought, he disappears in the blink of an eye, leaving you with far more questions than you could hope to ask. You can feel the power of the parasite fading so you prepare for the unpleasant side affect you know to be coming. I've spared you the pain this time. Be warned though, I'm only doing it out of pity. The next time you use it, I'm afraid it will feed ravenously to make due for the loss. The figure tells you, intruding upon your mind once again. Who are you?! What's at stake? You call out with your thoughts though all remains silent. When you receive no reply, you simply sigh and resume the process of rejoining the others. "You're alive! Thank goodness!" Cynthia practically tackles you as you come into view, throwing herself into your arms. "Frank told us what you did, that was very brave." She beams brightly, impressed by your bravery. "Not everybody would go to that length to rescue someone. What's your game?" Bridget asks from behind Cynthia, eyeing you inquisitively from head to toe. "That really was a great thing you did. You nearly sacrificed yourself so Frank and Cindy could get away." Jessie says as she walks toward you, the same look in her eye that Bridget has. You hug Cynthia tightly while replying, "I only did the right thing. I'm sure any of you would have done the same." This comment ellicits more than a few guilty stares but you change the subject in order to lighten the tension. "I've got the map. Here it is." You withdraw the blueprints from your pocket and place them on the floor for all to see. "Whoa! I had no idea all those maintenance passages ran throughout the mall." Janet gasps, noting in particular a passage that connects Paradise Plaza to Wonderland. "So where can we go that's safe from that thing wandering around?" Isabella asks. "Look at this. This rooms looks spacious enough." John points to an area within the Maintenance Tunnels that run beneath the entirety of the mall. "Think about it. The tunnels are accessible from every plaza. That's what these doors with white man on them lead to. If we head down there, we could hole up inside that room. From the looks of this, those tunnels are like a maze without this map. We'd be pretty damn safe down there." John suggests after outlining a possible route. "Can't argue with that. Let's see a show of hands. Who's with John?" You ask of everyone conscious. All hands but Lilly's and Kelly's raise, creating an almost unanimous decision. "We've still got to be careful though, we've got two unconscious women here." Frank gestures to Kay and Cindy, who are lying on the floor beside one another. "We'll have to proceed with caution then. Where's the nearest door that we can reach?" You question John, who has taken possession of the map. "Well, there was one in here but it's blocked. See?" He points to a large spire that juts out of the wall, a metal door visible behind it. "Damn. Where does it say the next closest location is?" "In Al Fresca Plaza. It's near a jewelry store. It shouldn't very long to reach if we move quickly." John folds the map up and scoops Kay upon his back, he has volunteered to carry her. "I've got Cindy. Now let's go." Frank scoops up the waitress in his arms, her breathing slow but steady. Frank and John won't be of much immediate help right now. I'll have to very careful.Vitality: 75%

"There's nothing else for us here. Move out." Every conscious person stares longingly over their shoulders at the Entrance Plaza, feeling the last bit of sadness overcome them as they leave behind their former bastion of safety. Into the fire once again...You fall back into the group, positioning yourself within the vicinity of Cynthia, Bridget, and Isabella. "Decided to stick with us, huh?" Bridget teases as you walk out into Al Fresca Plaza. "Eh, I figured what the hell? No sense in making you beautiful ladies walk by your lonesomes." You smile at all three of them though Isabella maintains her icy composure. "Lighten up Isabella, we'll be at a safe place soon. You won't have to worry about your brother then." Cynthia nudges her with an elbow, Isabella retaliates by pushing her away. "I told you not to mention him. Look, don't get any bright ideas. I don't need help looking for him since you seem so set on assisting everyone else." She dissuades any future attempts of your assistance, adamant on keeping her secrets to herself. Don't forget that you still know more about this thing in my head than I do.Once Isabella puts a bit of distance between you and herself, Bridget takes up abandoned conversation. "Don't mind her, I think she's just worried. I feel the same way about my friend June. We were separated when all this started." Bridget hangs her head, Isabella's depression beginning to infect those around her. "Hey, perk up. I'm sure she's fine. If she isn't, the roof offers a good view of the town. Maybe we can head up there later to survey the surroundings. What do ya say?" You ask in a attempt to cheer her up. "I'll take you up on that later. Right now I just want to be away from these undead." Bridget shudders as you walk by a dead zombie, its eye bobbing from the socket. "Well, Cynthia. What about you? Have anything to share while we're confessing?" You turn to her next so as to not leave her out. "Not really, my family doesn't live here as you well know." Cynthia keeps mention of the subject light, you'd prefer to forget the bizarre experience. "The only thing I'm worried about is getting out of here alive with everybody." She smiles sweetly at you but seems to be hiding something, the time must not be right for her to say what she wants. After you are finished conversing with Bridget and Cynthia, you keep an eye on Isabella. She's getting dangerously far ahead, not looking back to see what rate the group is traveling at. "Isabella! Come back here, you're moving away from the group." You call, causing her to stop in her tracks. "Sorry." She replies quietly, waiting patiently for everyone else to catch up. You stop upon catching up with her though, you are directly in front of the door leading to the Maintenance Tunnels. "Look at that, lucky us. Here's door everyone!" You tell them as they arrive. "Good, she's heavier than she looks, let's get down there so I can take a break." John pants as Kay dangles from his shoulders. "Wait, what's that sound?" Jessie says once everybody has grown silent. "I hear it. It's-Watch out!" You lunge at Jessie in the nick of time, pulling her from harm's way. The store behind her was too dark to see into but now that you are focused on it, you can see that zombies are jammed inside, shoulder to shoulder. They begin to hobble out, quickly overtaking the group. "Damn! There's so many. Fuck!" Frank slings Cindy over his shoulder, punching zombies back with his bare hands as he runs for safety. "Come on, over here." John motions for a few people to follow him as he clears a path with his axe. "Aagh!" Bridget squeals when a zombie grabs her from behind. You come to her aid by bashing the zombie on the forehead with your katana, finishing it by cleaving it in two once it releases her. "Follow John, I'll handle this." You push her and Jessie toward him, removing them from danger if only for a few moments. In this short time, you have taken your eyes off Cynthia, unable to find her in the mass of undead. "Cynthia! Where are you?" You call out, answered by a scream of terror from behind. You twist around to see that a zombie has her pinned against the wall, inches from her throat. Right next to her, Isabella is held in place by a two-pronged attack, a zombie at her front and rear. But at the same time, you see that Kelly and Lilly have somehow wound up inside the jewelry store, half of the zombie mob encroaching upon them. Janet is nowhere to be seen, you can only pray that she has made it to safety with either Frank or John. Vitality: 75%

Your decision was made subconsciously before you even had a chance to dwell upon it. You lash out at the zombie directly in front of you, sending it stumbling backward through its undead companions. It creates a path small enough for you to manuver through, depositing you within arm's reach of Isabella. "Hold still, Isabella. I'll get you free." You warn so you won't accidently injure her. "Just hurry!" She snaps, reluctantly obliging you.
You bear down on the first zombie with your katana, slicing cleanly into its skull. You kick it away, now focused on the assailant in front of Isabella. With a thrust of your arm, the zombie soars back three feet, landing with a loud thump on the ground. "Now get out there with the others, I still have to help Cynthia." You send Isabella off before she can even say anything, though she is more than happy to listen to you this time.
Pivoting on your heel, you lunge toward the zombie grappling with Cynthia. "Didn't anyone ever tell you it's not polite to hold a lady against her will?" You tell the zombie after grabbing its head, preventing it from drawing any closer to Cynthia's throat. You knee the zombie in the spine, causing it to release the latina woman. After she is free, you heave the zombie above your head just as Frank did Joan and toss it into the mob, forming a small corridor within the zombie horde.
"Let's go!" You snatch Cynthia's hand, pulling her along as you weave around the malevolent swipes of the zombies. "Wait! What about them? Are you just going to leave them behind?" Cynthia pleads as a rather large zombie approaches. "You want to help them at a time like this? What about us?" You bark while pulling Cynthia toward you, out of the path of this broad undead foe.
"I just don't want them being hurt because of me." She says softly, her hazel eyes begging you to assist the other women. Ugh, any other time I'd admire this trait of hers but right now, it's a bit irritating.
"Fine, just go join Isabella with John. I'll go to their aid." You cave, unable to resist your selfless urges. "Thank you so much! You're so much different than other men." At that completely inoppotune time, Cynthia plants a kiss on your lips, a heavenly sensation that you haven't experienced in so long. Just as you begin to relish the feel of your touch against hers, she takes off with a longing glance back toward you. At least I've got something to look forward to....
"All right girls, just sit tight. I'm on my way." With katana in hand, you cut a swath through the horde once again, creating a small circle for yourself to stand in. You begin to act on instinct, tripping a zombie and grabbing his ankle. After doing so, you grab his other leg and spin viciously in a round motion, creating a typhoon of flailling limbs and spiraling death.
Unfortunately, the zombie blood permeating the ground makes for very slippery puddles. Your heel comes into contact with one of these puddles, which you were unable to avoid due to your blurred vision. You slip as easily as though you were on ice, releasing the zombie you were using as a weapon. It collides with the wall, breaking its back then falling limp to the floor. You skid under the legs of the mob, tripping all in your path. You leap to your feet upon stopping, realizing that you are standing in the same jewelry store as Lilly and Kelly.
"Hello loves! Miss me?" You crack a smile to calm them down but it is no use. The look at each other then to you. "Get us out of here!" They sqeal simultaneously, achieving perfect harmony. "My thoughts exactly. Here we go!" You hoist both women on to either shoulder, much to their dismay. "Hold on tight and don't grab anything jutting out of the scenery. I don't want to drop you in the midst of these bastards." Without allowing them a reply, you sprint toward the mob.
Leaping into the air, you bound off the head of a bald zombie, connecting next with a gray haired elderly woman. You ride the crowd with both women in hand, maintaining the rhythm expertly. A mighty final jump sends you higher than you had anticipated, making for a very unpleasant landing. Your knees buckle and you slide once more across the ground. Lilly and Kelly grunt as they zoom off in opposite directions, both women slide harmlessly to a stop though.
"Damn, that was insane!" John congratulates you on your daring feats of acrobatic prowess with pat on the back. "How can you do that? It's inhuman." Jessie says, not joining in the celebratoin from some reason. "It's a long story that I'm sure everyone wants to hear. I'll tell you when we reach our destination." You placate her curiosity for now though you don't know how long it will last. "What now, trapeze man? Should we get going or what?" Bridget interjects, still on edge from the ambush.
"Yeah, but where's Frank?" You look to see the journalist barging through the remnants of the mob to your position. "Right here, I had to make a detour but we're fine." He motions to Cindy on his shoulder, her clothes ruffled but otherwise untouched by zombie hands. "You got them both to safety, you actually managed it. You ARE different from other men, I've never met someone quite like you." Cynthia whispers from behind, playfully running her finger along your side.
"There's a lot about me you don't know." You reply suavely, piquing her interest even further. "When we arrive at this new safe haven, I've got a 'surprise' that I think you'll find quite....pleasureable." She slaps you on the butt quite hard, piquing your interest as well. Ooh, I can't wait to find out what this surprise is.
Bridget watches this entire proceeding with ferocious jelously, you spot her after Cynthia takes a step back, her baby blue eyes masking a growing hatred for the other competitor vying for your affections. Frank was right, this is a dangerous game I'm playing. I really should watch what I do from here on out.
Jessie didn't seem interested in Cynthia's shenanigans, she simply shrugged and confered with Isabella about something. They keep it between themselves, Isabella walking toward you after they are done speaking. "We need to get moving. Jessie says she's expecting an important message from her HQ or something. If your done toying with people's emotions, now would be a good time to move on." She says the last sentence bitterly as though you had done something to insult her.
You must disregard this for you have waste too much time already. "If everybody's set, we shou-" "Wait!" Kelly cuts you off mid-sentence, worry lining her face. "Where's Janet? She's disappeared. I haven't seen her since the zombies attacked." You moan as she speaks, of course someone is missing.
"We've spent enough time standing around as it is. The sun's starting to set and I don't want to be out here when night comes. I say we continue on without her, she'll have to make due until we come across her again." John argues, his voice tense.
"But if we leave her behind, what happens when the next person is separated? And the next? We'll simply leave them behind to die like you're suggesting we do for her." Cynthia remarks on John's somewhat cynical suggestion. "I'm just saying why put ourselves at risk for one person? That-" John is interupted by a high-pitched whoop from around the corner. Dashing as quickly as her skirt will allow, Janet races for the center of the group.
"There's....a huge creature after me. Open the door!" She shouts, prompting you to oblige her. "Everyone in!" You order, they all shove past you until everybody has gone inside. You slam the door shut behind you as the creature nears, ramming it in an attempt to reach its next meal. This continues for several minutes until silence descends.
"Well we're finally in here, let's just move." John grumbles when Kay begins to stir. "Oh great, she's coming to." He stops to set her down but you tell him otherwise. "We keep moving." You gently tap Kay on the head with your katana, knocking her unconscious yet again.
"The lights are still on. That's a bit of good news." Frank observes as he steps into the massive concrete tunnel. "We need to head straight and take the first right. Come on." You grudgingly take the lead, wanting only a moment to rest. At least we'll finally be there soon.
The Maintenance Tunnels are disparagingly quiet and desolate, not a single zombie can be found as the group travels cautiosly along. Eventually, you arrive at your destination, the large storage room situated under Paradise Plaza. "It's huge!" Bridget exclaims upon entering, marveling at the fifteen foot high ceiling. The room stretches onward for a good distance, you have no idea what the measurement would be.
"This will do quite nicely. Guess we better start setting up shop." Frank lies Cindy off to the side where she won't be in the way. "I'll start on getting this bitch tied up, we don't want her screaming at the top of her lungs." John romps off in search of twine and a gag, essential tools in restraining an unruly companion.
"I need to find an area with a clear signal, I hope HQ finally answered our distress signal." Jessie seems a bit disheartened, but she will check to see if her organization has truly abandoned her anyway. "This food should be set aside in case anyone gets hungry." Bridget diverges from the group next, not even glancing at Cynthia as she walks by.
"Hmph. I think I'll take this time to explore this place, who knows what kind of goodies it's hiding?" Cynthia winks at you before leaving, obviously referring to her 'surprise' as the goodies. "Do what you all want, I need some time alone." Isabella skulks away next. "All right ladies, do what y'all want. This is home sweet home for now." You tell Jo's former hostages while pondering what to do next.
I've got some patching up to do. Either that or enjoy the company of a fine woman...
Current Relationships:
Jessie: If there is anything left, you had best act upon it quickly. Jessie might not return your affections in the future Bridget: Her jealousy might create a rift if you don't do something about it soon. Cynthia: She has fallen for you, it is final. All you need is to seal the deal.... Cindy: Is there something here? You are uncertain, it can only be known when she has awoken.
Vitality: 75%, fatigued
Entourage: Same as before
Weapon (2 max): Katana Inventory (4 max): Transceiver Current level: 7
Choose two of any of these choices:
A) Join Bridget in purveying the food items, she looks in need of some company
B) Find Cynthia, you deserve a 'surprise' after all that you've been through
C) Cheer up Jessie, she appears to be in a bit of a slump
D) Join Isabella in her brooding, you could attempt to cheer her up
E) Ask Frank how Cindy is doing, she still seems to be a bit worse for wear
F) Assist John in restraining Kay, you have nothing better to do at the moment
G) Ask the trio of girls if they need help with anything, they are still jumpy despite arrival to your destination
H) Explore the warehouse by yourself, you might find something interesting, who knows?
I) Rest for a spell, your entire body feels heavy from everything you've been through
I'm going to attempt something different when chatting with a character:
If you choose A, what should be the topic of conversation with Bridget?
1) Her apparent jealousy toward Cynthia, she needs reassurance that it was merely flirtatious 2) Her friend June, you can find out exactly how they were separated 3) The current situation, Bridget has to feel a bit of relief now that you're in a safe place
If B is your course of action, again choose the topic of conversation:
4) Her 'surprise', you could use a decent reprieve at the moment 5) Her family, she seemed ready to speak about it before 6) All that has happened, Cynthia might be able to offer a bit of insight
If C, what to chat about with Jessie:
7) The DHS communications, she won't be able to hold it together much longer if they truly have thrown her aside 8) Flirt a bit, you could comfort her with some playful teasing 9) Her feelings toward Brad's death, it won't be healthy if she continues to bottle them up inside
If D, what should you speak with Isabella about:
10) Flirt with her, you could lighten the mood by doing so 11) The parasite, it is high time she told you what this thing truly is 12) Her brother, you never found his name before

You see Bridget muttering angrily to herself as she walks away, nearly dropping the bag of food as she does so. You rub your temples to alleviate a headache that had begun to form from your increasingly tangled web of women. At least there's a bright side to this, Cynthia doesn't seem to mind...
"Bridget, what's bugging ya? You romped off before I could get a chance to say anything." You call out, following her to wherever she is going. "I honestly don't know. When I saw Cynthia grab you like that, I just lost it. I have no idea why I'm so jealous." She replies, putting it all out there from the start.
"You didn't seem to mind when we were speaking with Jessie? Care to explain that?" You ask next, steering the conversation in a more satisfying direction for the moment. "That was just teasing, you know how it goes. I knew she'd lose her composure and become putty in my hands, I've it plenty of times in the past. But the way I feel when I'm around you anymore, it infuriates me to see other women honing in." She replies softly, her voice breaking the longer she continues to speak.
"If you felt that way, why didn't you say something? Cynthia was just flirting, she didn't mean any harm by it." The lie cuts through your conscience with a razor edge, filling you with both guilt and regret. "You're sure? She seemed intent on more than just flirting, what with promising you a 'surprise.' " Bridget snaps the last word, her tone lined with venom that, if manifested, could melt through steel.
"She was just swept up in the moment, but I do have one more question. When you were coming onto Jessie, you seemed to enjoy it. Now I'm just curious, care to comment?" You raise your hands in an exaggerated motion while asking nonchalantly, garngering a chuckle from the slightly less depressed model. "I...I have a confession, I have been with a woman before. On several occasions in fact, but that was during my stint in the Orient, I never thought I'd have lingering feelings." She admits to you, presenting an entirely new possibility.
"I thought so, I just wanted to know. But rest reassured, Cynthia was just flirting lightly with me, it meant absolutely nothing." You hug Bridget tightly to reassure her, already fast at work with a plan to attain a goal you had never thought possible. "I trust you, just don't go." Bridget returns the gesture, once again flooding you with a slight moment of regret. "I'd love to stay, but duty calls. I need to check in with everyone else, they'd lose their heads without me." You break the harmonious moment rather abruptly, it is time to tend to Cynthia.
"I understand." Bridget sends you off with a wave, smiling with a renewed sense of purpose. She can be convinced I'm sure of it. I just need to tred carefully...
You set off in search of Cynthia next, following the scent of her lavender perfume. You had hardly noticed the sweet fragrance up to now, too many other distractions had made such a small task nearly impossible. Your search takes you to the rear of the warehouse, behind a stack of crates into a circular alcove formed by various objects.
"Well hello there, what say we get started?" Cynthia doesn't beat around the bush either, sliding out of her purple heels promiscuously. "Come closer." She beckons you with a delicate finger, prepared to give herself to you completely this one time.
"As you wish." You tell her in a suave voice, sliding into her embrace with one slick movement. "Take me and don't ever let go, I've never met a man like you before. Someone so valiant and willing to risk their life, I had almost given up hope of finding such a person." She whispers while kissing your neck, ushering in the first moments of euphoria.
"The same goes for you, more than once you expressed your concern for the safety of others. You aren't selfish like so many other women on this Earth." You caress her smooth skin, manuvering your hand up and down the length of her back as your lips touch. You release all your worries and frustrations to this blissful nirvana, forgetting them all in the tide of heated passion.
"Then let's be quiet now, we're together and that's all that matters." Cynthia silences the both of you from that moment on, words can not describe the intense focus you are giving one another. She allows you slip off her skirt while she undoes the clasp of your jeans, furthering the enjoyment tenfold as you anticipate the pleasure to come.
You crash into one of the stacks of crates with Cynthia's legs wrapped around your waist, her lips finding their way to every exposed piece of flesh within reach. You caress her instinctually in this primitive ritual, driven by the genes of so many of your forefathers. You allow her to stand once more as she unhooks the rear of her bra, dropping it to the ground. You follow it as it falls to the ground, relishing her cuvaceous body with her black thong in all its sexy splendor.
This culminates when both of you remove the other's last article of clothing, the sexual tension exloding in a hot shower of passionate love. The first thrust brings about a feeling unlike any you've experience before. You lose yourself in the motions until Cynthia releases one final orgasmic moan an indeterminable amount of time later.
You stroll back to the others confidently with Cynthia at your side, her hand clasped in yours. You may feel guitly about toying with Bridget's feelings, but for now, the only other person that matters in all the world is Cynthia.
As much as you would love to enjoy her company, more pressing matters require attending to. Jessie motions for you to join her at her laptop while, at the same time, Frank gestures toward Cindy, who is still unconscious.
Relationships: Jessie: It would be best to discontinue any romantic endeavors with her, it will only bring heartache to the both of you Bridget: She expressed slight interest the ways of the bisexual, perhaps you can reel her in along with Cynthia if you play your cards right Cynthia: The two of you now have a bond that runs deep, one that will only shatter upon only the most deceitful of acts. You are her one and only now.

B) Check on Cindy, Frank looks somber while standing beside her, hopefully she hasn't taken a turn for the worse

"I need to go see what Jessie wants, it may be important. All right?" You tell Cynthia, sad to part from her so quickly. "Whatever you say. I'll be waiting." She kisses you gingerly on the lips then waves you off so that you may go about your business.
You stride across the warehouse to the pile of planks Jessie has made her new seat. "Comfortable? That looks a bit painful." You observe for her large bosom seems out of place. "It'll do, but that's not important. I received a message from an anonymous user. I have no idea who it is but the message said all communications in and out of the mall will be blocked from here on out. Any wireless devices such as cellphones and email will be rendered useless. It...it also said they know where we are and that it is pointless to hide." She tells you grimly, worry evident in both her tone and on her face.
"Honestly? Well, fuckin' A. This just keeps getting better. We left the Security Room only to be tracked by some psycho." You punch the wall out of frustration, opening cuts along the knuckles of your right hand. Jessie tries to say something else but Isabella interrupts her, "I heard what you were talking about. The person who sent the message could be no one other than my brother, Carlito. He set up a jamming device not long ago to strand anyone unfortunate enough to be trapped in the mall." She keeps her gaze directed at the ground while speaking, not possessing the gall to look either of you in the face.
"Why? What the hell would drive either of you to do this?" Jessie snaps at the Hispanic woman. "Because we thought you deserved it for what you did to Santa Cabeza! It was our hometown but everyone who lived there is dead." She retorts, having raised her head to confront this accusation. "Dead? How and what do we have to do with it?" Jessie isn't done however, she demands a complete explanation.
"Your government decided it would be the perfect place to run a confidential test of a new bio-weapon. I had been an engineer at the laboratory in the town, we had no idea what we were constructing. We thought it was a new form of growth formula that was intended to exponentially increase the productivity of plants. It was successful too, we ran many trials and found that we had succeeded in creating this new hormone. But when it came time to release it to the public, the director revealed that it was the entire lab was nothing but a cover-up for their true purpose, to develop a new weapon that could adapt to any challenge." Her voice cracks as she speaks, but she continues despite the painful reminiscing.
"What we had created was nothing more than a deviation in the formual, they had used our research to perfect the true serum. But it had come at a cost, the serum did absolutely nothing when injected into the bloodstream of a human. They forced us to engineer a carrier for the serum, a completely separate organism that would imbue its host with the true effects of the devastating formula. But again, this proved to be another failure. The organism turned out to be a parasite that would leech off the very life of its host when imbuing them with this strength, the greater the power they called upon, the more life was drained from them."
"They didn't find this out until after they had decided to use Santa Cabeza as Ground Zero for their experiment. The soldier slaughtered everyone in our village; man, woman, child, it didn't matter to him. But the parasite took its toll on him when all was said and done, the soldiers had captured the scientists and forced us to watch the fruits of our labor. My brother and I watched in terror as the soldier injected with the parasite began to transform, it must have been the parasite somehow compensating for the lack of nutrition from its host. He became a mindless animal whose only purpose was to kill. It had razor teeth and stood seven feet tall, almost like..." Isabella gasps as understanding dawns on her.
"The creature that attacked Cliff and I in the North Plaza, it was a mirror image of that beast. It is here!" She seems as though she is about to suffer another panic attack but she calms herself. "It doesn't matter, how it wound up here is unimportant. What does matter, however, is that Carlito and I were wrong to take our revenge upon this town. We tampered with the serum to produce a zombification drug that we unleashed on the hapless citizens of this city. We were driven by grief, but I've seen the error of my ways. Cliff's sacrifice and your selflessness have shown me that. Carlito though, is still out for blood. He won't rest until he believes he's avenged the death of our familia." Isabella sinks to the ground after completing her explanation, physically drained by the task of unloading her burden.
"If that's all, why don't we just ask him to stop nicely? He said he knows where we are, what will he do?" Jessie prods, not allowing Isabella any reprieve. She sighs then replies, "I honestly do not know the lengths he will go to. He doesn't care anymore if he harms me in the process, he only lives to shed the blood of every American he comes across. But I can make it easier for us track him down. Please let me borrow your computer for a moment." She requests Jessie's laptop, her offer seeming sincere.
"Fine, but if you betray us in any way, I'll make you suffer personally." Jessie barks. Normally the buxom agent wouldn't intimidate a fly but her conviction this time sends a chill down even your spine. Looks like all isn't lost after all...
Isabella works her magic on the computer in record time, turning the screen both your's and Jessie's attention. "I've hacked into the monitor feed from the Security Room. The images may be a bit small but we can see everything they do from in here." She hands the laptop back to Jessie, who seems rather pleased with this new course of action. "Thank you, at least we've evened the terrain for now. But we don't just have your brother to worry about. Zombies are still roaming this mall and we don't have a sure fire way of escaping without contacting the DHS. Plus our provisions are rather slim." She points to the meager supply of food Bridget previously unloaded.
"Don't forget medical supplies. We need guaze in case that woman is injured." Isabella gestures toward Cindy, who still hasn't moved an inch since arriving in this new area.
"If that's the case, leave it to me. I can get us food and meds in a flash. But that's not all we'll need. We don't have many firearms, sure we've got tools in this warehouse, but I doubt most of the people here are up for the task of engaging a zombie with a melee weapon, yourself included Jessie." You volunteer for retrieval duty yet you also point out another weakness in the stability of this new bastion. We also need a few more numbers to bolster our defenses, most of the women here are hardly capable of stopping an undead onslaught.
"That settles it, we have our plan. A few people will go for food and medical supplies, others for firearms, and someone should perform reconnaissance just in case there are survivors that need assistance." You give the basic lay out of the plan, both Jessie and Isabella are game.
"No need for reconnaissance, I just saw two people, a man and woman by the looks of it, head up toward Columbian Roastmaster's in Paradise Plaza. There's also a group of survivors in Al Fresca Plaza trapped near the fountain, they won't last long without help." Jessie adds, changing your plan slightly.
"All right, now I just need to decide who to take." You say, pondering who would be best sent where. "I'm going this time, I'm tired of sitting around doing nothing. Brad gave his life for these people, the least I can do is honor him by assisting them. Somebody else can watch the laptop and communicate with us via the transceiver." Jessie once again interjects, feeling somewhat useless. She does seem eager to go but would she really be of use or just get in the way?
Vitality: 80%
Entourage: Same as before
Weapon (2 max): Katana Inventory (4 max): Transceiver Current level: 7
A) Acquire food first, hunger could reduce morale quicker than anything else
B) Search for firearms, proper weapons should be the top priority
C) Assist the survivors in Paradise Plaza, that thing in the trenchcoat might have decided to backtrack
D) Help the people in Al Fresca Plaza, the larger group might possess able combatants
Now after choosing your destination, what should you do with Jessie:
E) Attempt to dissuade her, she can better assist from the safety of the new Security Room, but how long is she willing to do so? She might decide to leave of her own accord if she feels as though she could help
F) Allow her to come, this is her way of coping with Brad's death and you should not deny her that right
Once voting on the previous two situations, who should accompany you (Choose a maximum of three):
0) Jessie (If you allow her to come 1) Frank 2) John 3) Bridget 4) Cynthia 5) Janet 6) Kelly 7) Lilly 8) Isabella
After choosing who to accompany you, where should you send another group of suvivors (Choose a destination and people left over from the previous list):
G) Acquire food H) Obtain firearms I) Assist the people in Paradise Plaza J) Help the group in Al Fresca
To avoid confusion, when choosing the destination for another group, you can create as many groups as you want. For example: If you would to send out two other teams, you would do it like so.
G: 1, 7 I: 5, 8
You could even send out a third team but that would drastically spread the numbers, it would be best to send out balanced squads.
