After noticing Cindy's hanging head in the front, John positions himself so he'll be able to speak with her. "So Cindy, you look like you need a good pep talk. Care to tell me what's on your mind?" John inquires, a possibly troubling development beginning to form in his mind. "O-oh, it's nothing. I'm just worn out from all the excitement." She replies hastily, concealing her arms in a suspicious manner. "What's wrong with your arm? Are you hurt?" John prods the subject further, they need to know now if they have a possible contamination. This is crazy! I'm letting those old zombie movies get to me...
"This? It's not much, just a scratch from one of the freaks. No, I'm worried about something else. Like the fact that we have no idea where we should go." Cindy snaps, surprising John with her first ever act of aggression. "I'm sorry, it's the stress." She apologizes immediately, frowning all the while.
"It's okay, you're not the only one thinking that way." Isabella interjects. "She has a point, we're all feeling the full extent of this. But the best thing to do is to look forward and focus on getting out alive, not dwelling on all the things that could kill us." John finishes without realizing what he said last. "I-I guess that's true." Cindy says, obviously disheartened by John's last remark. Oh, I give up. Let someone else play the part of Mr. or Ms. Positive.
John returns to his previous place on a cardboard box, folds his arms, and closes his eyes to try and get at least a little sleep while he still can.
"...on!" He is awakened by a sharp turn that throws him for a loop, right into Cynthia's arms. "Whoa!" John exclaims as he rises from the Latina. "What's happening?" He questions, demanding to know the reason for Isabela's maniacal driving. "Something's chasing us. And it's big." Cynthia ominously tells him, motioning for him to be quiet and listen to the back of the truck. He puts his ear to the door, closes his eyes, and hears the thunder.
Rhythmic booming garners a leap back from John, who is surprised by the inhuman sounds. "What the hell could be making that?!" He asks somewhat rhetorically, both curious and frightened by the prospect of what's pursuing them.
"It's gaining on us!" Isabela shouts from up front. She floors the gas pedal but the bulky delivery truck is just unable to gain anymore speed. We can't outrun it at this pace, we need to lose it some other way.
Thinking quickly, she notices an opening to an underground parking garage to their right, but it will require them to squeeze between two tightly packed cars blocking the entrance. The creature following them is too large to pursue them should they flee into it.

A) Take the chance, Isabela will attempt to enter the parking garage though it might not end well
B) Keep driving forward, maybe there will be another way to lose the creature if they keep going
C) Slam on the brakes, it may take their pursuer by surprise and buy them time to exit the truck though they'll lose their only means of transportation

I suppose tossing Cindy out would be a pretty rude D. =)
I'm going to go with B as well.
Though I have a suspicion it may end bad, I imagine slamming into the cars and being forced out on foot, possibly more injured wouldn't bode well.

Just a quick question before I go to sleep. At this point in the story, who would y'all rather see survive: Cindy or Nicole? And why, if you'd be so kind as to state? I'll update tomorrow.

If you wanted to, you could vote for that Smakit, whatever you feel like choosing. And could I hazard a guess in saying you've acquired a certain distaste for Cindy?
No, there's too much risk in trying to squeeze in there. We'll keep going for now. Isabela maintains a steady grip on the wheel, only hazarding an occasional glance back to ensure they're still a safe distance ahead. Any hope of fleeing into the parking garage fades away in the mirror, looming ominously in the background for some time to come.
Cindy keeps her gaze locked on the side mirror, unable to turn away as the beast closes in. "It's almost on us!" She gasps after it leaps forward, nearly swiping the truck with huge, muscular arm. "It shook the truck, how close is it?" John questions from behind, wanting to be clued in on their situation. "Too." Cindy replies in turn, yelping as it finally makes contact.
The beast, an enlarged humanoid figure towering over nine feet tall, slams in the truck with a massive shoulder, lifting the rear wheels off the ground while still in motion. It then scoops the bottom of the truck in its hands and tosses it forward....
The last thing Isabela remembered was the delivery truck suddenly being lifted into the rear and flipped as though it were a pancake. The metal projectile had been turned and rolled a good fifty feet before coming to a stop, leaving its passenger bloodied and battered. Cindy sits unconsciously in her seat, the seatbelt holding her in place while her arms dangle. Blood drips from her forehead where she slammed into the dashboard, the airbags having failed to deploy.
"Cynthia? Ach...Are you okay?" She coughs through the slide, unbuckling her own belt and falling below. She rolls over, brushing against Cindy's hands, and peers into the slide. Cynthia isn't moving, she is slumped over under a pile of boxes with her arm crossed over her chest. John is leaning against the side and is apparently unconscious as well. Nicole barely stirs, but it looks like she may be injured. Her leg is bent at an extreme angle and could very well be broken. N-No...
Isabela Keyes Vitality: 39% Inventory: Nothing Entourage: Nicole Lynx: 20%, Possible broken leg Cindy Lennox: 11%, Unconscious and bleeding (Will lose 2% every update until she is tended to) Cynthia Velasquez: 17%, Unconscious and other possible injuries John Dillon: 37%, Car keys, Cell phone
Choose two please: A) Try to wake Cindy, she can't do anything trapped right there B) Tap on the slide to get someone's attention, maybe John or Cynthia aren't unconscious, merely waiting C) Attempt to climb out of the cab, Isabela can't do anything to help those in the back from here D) Check the surrounding area for signs of the beast, it hasn't attacked them yet for some reason (Can work either before or after C)
Decisions, decisions.....

D then C. Cindy has been nothing but trouble up till now, requiring constant babysitting. At least Nicole has proven useful in some parts. Therefore I elect that Cindy be left to die in the truck, or at the very least perish in the near future.

So I need an answer. Should we continue down this current path or shift back the previous path for a while? The previous path being John, Isabela, and an injured Cynthia heading toward the police station.

I'd say D and A. Sorry about the confusion TBone. I don't have any particular disdain for Cindy. I was just teasing since she had the lowest vitality and we had a quickly approaching beast after us. It might have bought us a few minutes, but I don't think he (or I, were I in the situation) could do something so drastic. =) As for who lives and dies, as long as it makes for a good story, I'm happy. Though our choices could directly or indirectly cause someone's death I suppose, I will leave that in your capable hands to worry about And either storyline is good for me, so I will go with whatever the majority thinks.

Isabela bats at the slide as hard as she can, which isn't very hard given the circumstances. The quiet sound barely fills the container, but it seems to serve its purpose as John looks up to in response. "Can you move?" She asks before coughing slightly, gripping her side in pain. We're in a bad way right now....
He nod sslightly, slinking back against the wall as his breathes heavily. Armed with a new sliver of hope, Isabela crawls to her door and forces it open slowly to conserve energy. She lowers herself from the precarious angle to the ground, grunting at the pain of the landing. She stretches her legs and determines that she'll be able to walk with minimal difficulty for now.
Hobbling to the rear of the truck, the beast still nowhere in sight, she pulls down on the sliding door. It collapses without much interference, the crash combined with the beast's swipe has demolished its supports.
Isabela climbs carefully over the shards of metal jutting in all directions, she can't take much more abuse in her current state. "John, can you at least stand?" She questions without reaching him due to being blocked by a jagged ball of metal. "Yeah." He climbs to his feet, supporting himself on the wall with an outstretched arm.
"Can you tell if Cynthia is alive?" Is her first request, just as John had suspected. He hobbles to the Latina's limp form and reaches for her neck in hopes of finding a pulse. Much to their relief, his reply is a positive one, "She's alive, just unconscious." Nicole speaks up next, "Is everyone else okay?"
"Cindy's critical but alive. The same could be said for the rest of us too." Isabela tells her. Their moment of reprieve is interrupted by a booming bellow, signifying the return of their newest adversary. "We have to get out of here now. Can you stand, Nicole?" John asks hastily, wondering who he will need to assist. "No, my leg's numb right now. I don't think it's broken but I can't walk." She replies somberly, though John was expecting such a situation. That's three immobile people, two of which are unconscious! How the hell are we going to do this?!
John Dillon Vitality: 39% Inventory: Car keys, Cell phone, Entourage: Nicole Lynx: 20%, Numb leg Cindy Lennox: 9%, Unconscious and bleeding (Will lose 2% every update until she is tended to) Cynthia Velasquez: 16%, Unconscious and slight bleeding (Will lose 1% every update until tended to) Isabela Keyes: 37%, Nothing
What should John do? A) Help Nicole up, he can shoulder her out to the street at least B) Carry Cynthia past the shards, John can hand her off to Isabela then C) Head outside, he needs to be ready to go D) Go unbuckle Cindy, she's shouldn't be left dangling.....
Isabela now: E) Climb past the shards and carry Cynthia back over, she should tend to her cousin first D) Do the previous for Nicole, she can at least help with her arms F) Tend to Cindy in the front, she's the most critical of the group

I was actually going to select the same, but opposite roles (John helps Cindy and Isabela help her cousin), but I guess either way they both get help.
Unless anyone else specifically wants it that way, I will just go ahead and agree with Occam for ease - B & F.

"Damn. All right, here's what we'll do. Isabela, go unbuckle Cindy and bring her back to where you are now. I don't like her dangling like that in her condition. I'll carry Cynthia through here and come back for you, Nicole. That's a promise." John smiles weakly upon relaying his plan, more to reassure himself than anyone else. She nods silently and does the only thing she can do: wait.
John hoists Cynthia onto his shoulder and navigates the small sea of jagged spikes, careful not to fall through the weak floor due to his added weight. He steps onto the street with a breath of relief, relatively unharmed by the points. Glad that's over, I'd prefer not to do it again though.
He sets Cynthia down gently on the ground just as Isabela returns, who does the same for a very bloody Cindy. John turns his head after completely seeing her. Her uniform is ripped in several places and she is bleeding profusely from a head wound. "Okay, wh-" Isabela is interrupted by a massive boom. "Shit!" John exclaims as the beast reappears.
It bursts out of an alley, smashing two stray zombies into bloody pulps in the process. It hurls another zombie in its hand straight at a conveniece store, its brittle bones shattering upon impact. Not having seen the group yet, it occupies its time with even more zombies, toying with them much in the way a child would with a small animal.
"I'it's back, isn't it?" Nicole asks somberly from within the truck, holding back perhaps the most important question of her life. What are we going to do?!
Vitality: 39% Inventory: Car keys, Cell phone, Entourage: Nicole Lynx: 20%, Numb leg Cindy Lennox: 7%, Unconscious and bleeding (Will lose 2% every update until she is tended to) Cynthia Velasquez: 15%, Unconscious and slight bleeding (Will lose 1% every update until tended to) Isabela Keyes: 37%, Nothing
A) Go back inside the truck and guide Nicole to the street, John has to keep his promise to her
B) Cut their losses and abandon Nicole, John could jeopardize all their lives if they lag behind
C) Send Isabela into the truck, John will watch the beast and warn them if it approaches
D) CYOA
If you choose A or C or possibly D, how will they proceed afterwards: 1) John will shoulder Nicole and carry Cindy, she is the heavier of the two unconscious women, though not by much, because he has more stamina remaining than Isabela
2) Isabela will shoulder Nicole while John carries both Cynthia and Cindy, he can soldier on with both women for now
3) John will support Nicole while carrying Cynthia, she is slightly lighter than Cindy and would make for easier going and Isabela will carry the waitress
(I'll paraphrase the rest of the choices) 4) John shall shoulder Nicole while Isabela attempts to carry both Cindy and Cynthia
5) Outline any other combinations I may have missed
And after they flee the truck, where should they head: E) Toward the TV station, it is only a few blocks away and would offer multiple floors of protection from the beast while it's in the area
F) To Home Depot, it's further than the TV station, but it would possibly have more weapons and provide them with materials to barricade
G) To Sam's Used Cars six blocks away, it's rather far but there is guaranteed transport on the premises
Take into account everyone's condition when selecting a destination........

A:1 / E
If there is any chance to try to minimize the pain before moving on, that might be worth doing (of course that assumes the beast isn't all up in our faces [=D
Thinking other places sounds fun, but with nearly dead folk, we need them stabilized and healthy first and foremost. Though I *really* wanted to go have fun in Home Depot.
My apologies if this post ends up not making sense. Took a sleeping pill about hour ago and its getting to me pretty good..Still I think I got the just of it =D I will read it again tomorrow to make sure

"Yes, but that doesn't mean anything yet. It's distracted for the time being so let's get you out of there." John quickly clambers back into the truck and helps Nicole to her feet, stifling his groans of pain alongside her own. Damn, this is gonna be tough.
Once they are out on the street, John relays his plans to the other two conscious women. "Isabela, you carry Cyhthia. I'll shoulder Nicole and hoist Cindy around. I figure we should at least be able to make it to the tv station in our current condition. Plus it'll provide cover from our brutish follower." He leans Nicole against the truck for a moment, bends down, and slowly lifts the waitress over his shoulder, wiping away some of the blood from her face. "S-see? We can do this." He grunts inwardly, smirking all the while.
Isabela is wary of his possible deceit, but she will have to go along with it. Time is of the essence and they can't afford to waste anymore of it. John extends his arm toward Nicole, who hobbles into his side while sliding her own arm around his shoulder. Each step from there on is excruciatingly painful, sapping more of John's strength as they proceed.
Luckily, the trip to the television station is completely void of surprises, much to everyone's relief. They enter the building, which looks rather immaculate amidst all the turmoil happing within the city, on the outside. Its walls lack the ruin of car crashes and corpses lying on the sidewalk, almost as if someone has been cleaning it for the last few hours.
Upon entering, John nearly drops Cindy and Nicole from pure exhaustion, lying the waitress on the floor and letting Nicole support herself before collapsing. "W-we made it! And I'm exhausted. I don't think I'll be able to get up for a while." He says, rubbing his extremely sore legs. "You don't need to, you've earned a reprieve. But that doesn't change the fact that Cynthia and Cindy need medical assistance. I'll look for a first aid kit while you recuperate." Isabela doesn't allow him time to reply, setting off in search of aid seconds after releasing her cousin.
"I don't think she should be walking around here by herself. I don't know if you've noticed, but the inside of this place is trashed compared to the outside." Nicole observes, motioning all around them at overturned chairs and desks littered with a mixture of contents. Aw hell, I hadn't noticed any of this. She may be right.
Vitality: 39% Fatigue: 14% Inventory: Car keys, Cell phone
Entourage: Nicole Lynx: 20%, Numb leg Cindy Lennox: 5%, Unconscious and bleeding (Will lose 2% every update until she is tended to) Cynthia Velasquez: 14%, Unconscious and slight bleeding (Will lose 1% every update until tended to) Isabela Keyes: 37%, Exploring by herself
A) Follow Isabela, John may barely be able to stand, but he can't guarantee Isabela's safety any other way B) Leave her be, Isabela can handle herself better than John can at the moment. Besides he should rest as much as he can just in case. C) Call out to Isabela, it might alert anything else around though
Be careful...
